🐾 Howdy, my name is Roscoe! 💙 I’m a handsome Bluetick Hound who came to Big Dog Ranch Rescue after my owner brought me to the Monroe County Shelter. I was just trying to do what hounds do best — chase birds! 🐦 Unfortunately, I got a little too interested in chasing livestock, so now I’m looking for a home where I can put my energy and hound instincts to better use. Since coming to Big Dog Ranch Rescue, I’ve been having a blast! I get to spend lots of time outdoors running, playing, chasing balls, and enjoying the water. 🌊 I even get dressed up for holidays and have handsome pictures taken of me. What can I say? A good-looking guy like me has to keep up appearances! 😉📸 I’m an adult gentleman with plenty of energy, so an active family would be right up my alley. The good news? I’m already housetrained, know my basic commands, and even enjoy cuddling now and then. After all that running around, a little snuggle time sounds pretty good to me! ❤️ All I need now is a forever home where I can be loved, appreciated, and given plenty of opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors. Story
Beau is ready to be adopted! He’s a 2 year old, 90lb bloodhound. He’s big, squishy, and beautiful. Beau has a lot of love to give, and needs someone who understands him. He’s a big love bug who wants to hang out, get his big ol noggin scratched, and his face rolls squished. He’s always down for a nap and he’s a great snuggler. He also has a strong sense of boundaries and grumbles to communicate if he's not in the mood to share his personal space. He would do best with other laid back, confident dogs that will respect him. He loves to run around outside and play chase with other dogs once he gets to know them. Enjoys a game of tug every now and then when he’s feeling froggy. He was tested with cats and didn’t do well, so a home without them is required. He is, however, great with children. Beau has learned leash manners, obedience, and he’s working on tolerant handling of his feet and ears. He is also house trained. He can be crated and kenneled, but does well with more space rather than less. Like all dogs who are a part of our rescue, Beau is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and he is also heartworm negative.
