Story
Marina was adopted to a couple 4 years ago as a puppy and was recently returned by her owners when they moved. We also took in Marina's "sibling":Saylor, who is partially deaf. The two girls are extremely close and while a home for them together would be amazing, we will consider separating them. Marina weighs 90lbs and should probably be closer to 75-80lbs. She's currently "dieting" to lose her excess weight. She gets a little nervous in new situations and will bark at guests coming in to the home, but she warms up quickly. Marina had multiple hot spots when she came to us, but we have switched her to a chicken-free diet and had her on a regular antihistamine and she is not currently having any issues. She was said to have had extreme anxiety in her original home, but we have not seen any signs of that in her foster home. In fact, we have weaned her successfully off the anxiety medication her owners had her on and have noticed no real changes in her personality. She is dog and people friendly and needs an active home. Anchor is chipped, up to date on shots and spayed. If adopted on her own, her adoption fee is $200. If adopted with Saylor Grace the adoption fee for both together is $300. ##794626##

Story
Grace is approximately 2-3 years old and 35 - 40 lbs. She was found as a stray in Speedway and within 24 hours was undergoing emergency spay surgery for pyometra. She bounced back quickly and is fully healthy now. Grace can be timid at first, but once she warms up to you she doesn't leave your side. She has a special affinity for children and most dogs, but seems to prefer dogs her size and larger. She currently lives with 2 dogs, and spent time with another foster dog as well. She is the first to greet her dog family or people at the door with kisses – without barking. She would love a home where she can approach on her own terms. She has learned to behave on a leash, and knows sit, no, and wait. She loves laying in the sun and tummy rubs. For her final vaccination, she sat in the lap of the vet tech and was reported “wonderful”. She eats like a vacuum cleaner and cleans up any food that attempts to escape…. If she can push the bathroom open, she will supervise what ever is going on in there… Grace is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped.

It can take up to a week to process an application. We are an all-volunteer rescue so please be patient. Our adoption area is limited to a 4 hour radius of Indianapolis. We try our best to provide all information in our bios. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask during the interview process. Some of our dogs have special requirements such as needs another dog in the home or requires a physical and permanent fenced yard. These requirements are not negotiable. Unless otherwise noted, we do not cat test our adoptable dogs. We also require that all pets in your household be spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and on a monthly heartworm/flea preventative. E-MAILS: We do not respond to e-mail inquiries without an application. We regret that we cannot respond to every e-mail unless you fill out an application. All the dogs we offer for adoption have been spayed/neutered, wormed and microchipped, are up-to-date on immunizations, have been tested for heartworm and are currently receiving a monthly preventative. If the dog had additional medical issues, those have also been addressed. Visit our website www.waldosmuttleycrew.org for more information and to complete an application. Ogden, or Oggie Doggie as we like to call him, has such a zest for life!!! He loves people and attention ... armpit scratches and ear rubs are a favorite of his!!! Oggie is a 2 year old treeing walker coonhound/pointer mix weighing about 65 lbs. He LOVES to play with other dogs and is constantly involved in games of chase and wrestling. He is slightly dominant with males so, although he does play with other males well, would do best in a home with a playful girlfriend. Oggie is high energy so needs a large yard with at least a 5 foot fence; he can easily jump over anything shorter and will do so if he spots a bunny. He loves toys but is a "slayer" of the stuffed ones; they then have to be buried in shallow graves in the yard. LOL! Ogden is sure to keep you laughing with his antics; he has such a huge personality! His perfect home will be one where he won't have to be crated for long hours, a large yard with a 5 foot or higher fence, and must have a very playful female dog to be his best friend. Oggie Doggie's adoption fee is $225; he's neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations and monthly heartworm/flea preventative. Applications are available at waldosmuttleycrew.org .
