Story
Nimbus – 4-Year-Old Aussie Cattle Dog / Bluetick Coonhound / Certified Good Boy Mix (50 lbs) – Lyles, TN (Dickson) Let’s talk about this handsome, slightly goofy, very good boy. Nimbus is about 4 years old (birthday around June), neutered, and around 50 pounds of personality. He’s an Aussie Cattle Dog and Bluetick Coonhound mix, with an official side title of Certified Good Boy. He’s a sweet, kind-hearted pup with a gentle temperament and just enough sass to keep life interesting. He’s playful, loving, and has the cutest way of showing affection. He’s not big on big bear hugs, but he will absolutely hold your hand, give you little kissies, and happily lay right next to you like your loyal sidekick. He is fantastic with other dogs and is often used as the peacekeeper when personalities get a little… spicy. He’s incredibly smart, loves learning new tricks, and is very play-motivated. His favorite toy is a stuffed duck that makes a real quacking noise, and yes, he is OBSESSED. He has loads of personality, very expressive eyes, and that “main character energy” that makes everyone fall in love with him. Nimbus can be nervous around very small children and would do best in a home with kids 10+. Quick movements can startle him a bit, so he thrives in a calm, steady environment where he can feel safe and relaxed. He will need to be brought up to date on his vaccinations. His dream home would have space to run and play, or a human who loves walks, adventures, and having a four-legged shadow. He does best when he has people around and would love someone who has time to spend with him. He is not crate trained and would much prefer to be out living life with you than hanging out alone. He may do especially well in a home with other dogs to keep him company. It’s unknown how he is with cats, as he hasn’t really been around them, but he has never shown any aggression toward other animals. He’s generally just curious and friendly when meeting new buddies. If you or someone you know is looking for a loyal sidekick with a big heart, a goofy personality, and a serious love for squeaky duck toys, Nimbus could be your perfect match. Message me if you’d like to meet him and spend some time getting to know him. His adoption fee is waived; however, transport costs are not included. If you’re located outside of Tennessee, please be prepared to cover transport, and we’ll gladly help coordinate everything with our trusted transporter. And if you’re not in a place to adopt right now, please share this post so we can help this sweet boy find his happily ever after. ##2652585##

Story
If you are looking for a loyal outdoor companion with a heart of gold, say hello to Kahlua—an 8-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound mix who defines “good ole’ boy” in the best possible way. Around 60 pounds of love and sweetness, Kahlua lives for sunshine, breezes, rustling leaves, and long, thoughtful walks. He’s the kind of dog who doesn’t rush through life—he notices everything, appreciates the little things, and reminds you to slow down and enjoy the moment. Kahlua has impeccable manners. Need to tie your shoe? He’ll stop and wait. Collar slips off? He’ll walk right over so you can fix it. He listens beautifully and truly wants to please his person. He also has a fun side—he loves squeaky toys, playing fetch (sharing the ball is a work in progress!), giving kisses, and being tucked in under cozy blankets like the pampered hound he is.  This boy is also a lake and boat enthusiast—a true water bug who will happily join you for every lakeside adventure. He grew up with other dogs and prefers being the “big guy,” doing well with respectful smaller dogs or calmer companions. Solo walks? He’s relaxed and steady. With bigger, energetic dogs? He may pull a bit in excitement. Kahlua loves kids who treat him kindly and is friendly toward cats, even though he didn’t share a home with them before. Above all else, Kahlua is drawn to people who make him feel loved—give him attention and he’ll give you his whole heart. He does get springtime seasonal allergies, so starting Apoquel in February or early March keeps him feeling his best. It’s a simple bit of care for a dog who gives so much sweetness in return. Kahlua’s former mama adored him deeply but faced life changes that made caring for him impossible. Now he’s ready for a forever home where he can spend his years surrounded by stability, love, comfort, and a family who appreciates everything he has to offer. Kahlua is ready to be someone’s best friend. If you want a loyal companion with an old soul and endless love to share, come meet this wonderful boy.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested in giving this boy the years of his life as your best sidekick ever   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 12, 2026, 9:57 am

Story
Marley has spent almost two years waiting for something most dogs are given without question — a home. Born around February, 2023, this strikingly handsome Catahoula mix boy has grown up in a shelter, watching the world move past him while he stays behind in a kennel run. It’s hard to understand how a dog so joyful, so loving, and so eager to connect has been overlooked for so long.  Maybe it's because he isn't in a big city where people frequent the local shelter looking a dog to love.  Marley is in a very rural ,out of the way shelter that few people come to. Marley is the kind of dog who lights up when someone notices him. He is friendly, social, and genuinely happy just to be included. He gets along well with other dogs and older children, and his favorite thing in the world is simply being part of the moment — whether that means splashing in water, running around outside, or settling in as your loyal couch companion. Time has softened Marley in the best ways. While he still has a playful spirit, he’s matured into a wonderfully balanced dog who knows how to enjoy both adventure and quiet companionship. He leans into affection, seeks out closeness, and gives love freely — the kind of love that feels steady, sincere, and deeply comforting. What Marley is missing isn’t training or potential — it’s belonging. He deserves a family who sees him not as another face in a kennel, but as a best friend waiting patiently for his turn. A home where he can stretch his legs, rest his head on your lap, and finally understand that he’s safe and chosen. Marley is sweet. He is beautiful. He is ready. He has already waited long enough. He deserves more than a kennel. He deserves mornings in a home, evenings with his head in your lap, and a life where he's finally chosen. If you're looking for a dog who will meet you with joy, loyalty, and an open heart every single day... Marley Is still at the shelter, still hoping, and still ready to go home. Even if all you can do is foster him while Critter Cavalry searches for a home, please consider the option to free him. All he needs is someone to look at him and say, you’re coming home with me. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Please consider Marley and changing his life from a kennel run to a soft dog bed laying at your feet. Don't hesitate to contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.January 26, 2026, 6:54 pm
