Story
Meet Melon!
Melon is a 2 year old, 31-lb Heeler Mix who loves being pet (more than food!), being in bed, and being close to her people. Though Melon is a tri-pod, her amputation does not slow her down in the slightest!
Her superpowers include being a fast learner (only one bathroom accident on her first day in foster care), loving and winning the hearts of all people everywhere, and getting along great with children/toddlers, She is still unsure about walking in the city and loud noises, but loves a back yard for trotting around or laying in the sun! In terms of house training, Melon readily goes outside and is doing well! She loves to please and she loves to be rewarded for a good job with affection (not food motivated at all as of yet)!
Some of her favorite things are soft surface (couch/ned/blanket on the floor), puzzles with food tucked inside, budging things with her strong neck, laying on her back to play.
If you're looking for the biggest lover who will greet you with a goofy smile and full body kisses every time you walk in the door and loves spooning and snuggling literally all day, she might be your perfect match.

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
