Story
Meet "Happy." She is SO SWEET but snores :O). She was found as a stray in 2013, raised on a 40 acre farm with 3 kids, and mingled in the pasture with goats, sheep, cows, and chickens. We moved two times since then to more urban areas. She is submissive and gentle with excellent manners. She still has great energy and needs at least 2 long walks each day or a place to roam. She is good on a leash and great with other dogs, but pulls when she smells something interesting. She can not go off leash in the city because she will not heed commands to "come" or "stay." She never learned to fetch, but she loves to snuggle! She enjoys sunning outside or crawling under the porch or napping on her dog bed. Recently, her hearing has started to decline but is otherwise healthy. All three kids have grown and left and I am relocating 2,000 miles. I would love to find a family with an outdoor yard to take her in and give her all the love she deserves! She's a great companion and easy keeper.

Story
This is the hardest thing I've ever had to write. I love this dog with my whole heart, but I have run out of options. I've had Bailey since she was 9 months to a year and a half old (the vets were unsure). She was a rescue from Iredell animal control. I've had her since October 2018. She is my best friend, and we have been through so much together. Unfortunately, I am no longer in a situation where she can be healthy and happy. For financial reasons, we had to move into a tiny apartment in the city. She hates it here. The loud noises, the tight quarters, the busy streets; it's so bad for her, and I simply do not have the means to fix this. A new home - she needs to be an only dog. She was fine with others for years but was attacked and has never recovered from that - she needs space to run around—ideally a fenced backyard. - she needs literally all of the cuddles. All she wants is to be close to you. - she has lived with cats twice and been fine with them even after the dog issues

Story
Meet Coppe! Age: est 4 months. Breed: mom is a bluetick hound, dad is unknown. Size: approx 20lbs, we believe he will be about 65-70ish lbs when full grown. Training: crate trained, working on leash and house training. He is just a pup so he will need continued guidance. He knows sit and he is very food motivated and eager to please. Good with dogs/cats? Yes to both. Good with men/women/kids? Yes. Personality: a little shy at first, but that doesn't last long! He warms up to be friendly, affectionate, and playful. He will bark or howl when he has an opinion. He would do best with another canine companion to play with or an active family. Reason for rescue: Copper was born to a stray mom. The pups had to be humanely trapped to be caught. They didn't recieve socialization before coming to us, but they have come so far! Copper's personality has really blossomed. He is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current vaccinations and preventatives. If you are interested in adding this sweet baby to your family, please message for an adoption application. Adoption fee: $75.December 1, 2025, 9:27 am
