I’m social, wiggly, and absolutely thrilled to be involved in whatever you’re doing. Laundry? Amazing. Sitting on the couch? Incredible. Walking to the mailbox? Best day ever.I am powered by treats and compliments. I already know a few commands and would love to learn more, especially if snacks are part of the curriculum. Call me a very enthusiastic honor student. I do like my own space for meals since I can be protective of my food, but that’s easy. Hello. Yes. It’s me. Bill.Adorable Beagle and Coonhound mix. Professional nose. Part time singer. Full time good boy.I came to the shelter with my brother Ted. He’s great and all, but this is my monologue, so let’s stay on topic. I am social, I am vocal, and I have absolutely zero fear about sharing my thoughts. If something exciting happens, I will announce it. If nothing exciting happens, I may still provide commentary. You’re welcome.I love treats. I love praise. I love being told I’m handsome, talented, brilliant, the light of your life. I already even know a few commands! Training me should be a breeze because I work very hard for snacks and compliments. It’s a simple and effective business arrangement.Now. Dinner. I adore food. Deeply. Passionately. Because of my past, I can be protective of my dinner and high value treats. I just prefer to enjoy my meals in my own space. Think of it as me requesting a private dining experience. Give me my little area to eat, and we will have no issues at all.I’m friendly, adaptable, and ready to settle into just about any loving home. RCHS does not conduct DNA tests on dogs who enter our facility therefore we are unable to guarantee breed or breed mix. Information provided by shelter staff, volunteers, and veterinarians is used to give a best estimate as to a dog’s breed make up. We do our best to inform adopters about the potential breeds for each dog.We are a dog only facility so we do not know how most of our dogs will be with cats. Even if a dog is surrendered to us and said to be good with cats there is no way to be sure the dog will be good with your cats. We do have a 7 day foster-to-adopt program so that you can see how the dog interacts with your cats before adoption.

Meet Doc 🐶💙 Doc is an approximately 4 year old coonhound mix with a huge heart and an even bigger love for attention. He is a lovable, affectionate boy who truly enjoys being close to his people and will happily nose his way in if you are petting another dog. Doc is crate trained and continuing to work on house training. He knows how to use a doggie door and is making great progress. He had some marking behaviors early on, which have improved significantly with structure and routine. He is very dog friendly and loves to play with other dogs. Doc has not been tested with cats and has only lived with adult children, but his sweet and gentle nature suggests he would likely do well with respectful kids. He appears to have lived mostly outdoors or in a one story home before rescue, but he has now discovered the couch and loves settling in right next to his person. He recently conquered the staircase and continues to gain confidence every day. Doc is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventions. Adoption Fee $200 local in Texas $450 out of state with transport included 🚐

House and crate trained, good companion.  She can escape any fence unless it has a top over it.  Age about 3 years, weight 61 pounds. Spayed, current on shots, Lyme and heartworm tested.
