My son got this dog with the intention of coon hunting came from a good hunting line blue tick/walker coon home she is purebred He got a job on the road and didn’t have time to train. She may or may not hunt but would make a good pet she is loving and sweet. We have her at our house and since we are elderly we cannot take properll care of her and her needs to run and get exercise. Just want her to have a chance at a good loving home. We live 60 miles south of Nashville Tennessee

Meet Dixey. She is a 6-year-old bluetick coonhound. She was surrendered due to her humans having to move and could not find an apartment who would accept her. She is very friendly. She has been in a home with a cat. She is very sweet. She came in with a bad ear infection but we have been treating that its just a hound thing. She is well mannered. She walks well on a leash. She does not bark as much as your typical hound dog. She loves to go on long walks and sniff everything she possibly can. She loves a good bed to lounge around on as well. I have had him for 4 years. This is the hardest decision i’ve ever had to make, but i’m having to move into an apartment where he won’t be able to run or get the physical stimulation he desperately needs. Sweetest dog ever, VERY high strung and needs mental/physical stimulation since he is a bluetick after all. If you have a farm or large area where he can run or track scents, he’d be perfect and happy there! I am only asking a fee because I want to make sure he is well taken care of by someone who can love him as much as I have.

Meet Doc 🐶💙 Doc is an approximately 4 year old coonhound mix with a huge heart and an even bigger love for attention. He is a lovable, affectionate boy who truly enjoys being close to his people and will happily nose his way in if you are petting another dog. Doc is crate trained and continuing to work on house training. He knows how to use a doggie door and is making great progress. He had some marking behaviors early on, which have improved significantly with structure and routine. He is very dog friendly and loves to play with other dogs. Doc has not been tested with cats and has only lived with adult children, but his sweet and gentle nature suggests he would likely do well with respectful kids. He appears to have lived mostly outdoors or in a one story home before rescue, but he has now discovered the couch and loves settling in right next to his person. He recently conquered the staircase and continues to gain confidence every day. Doc is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventions. Adoption Fee $200 local in Texas $450 out of state with transport included 🚐
