Recently rescued Betsy from a shelter. She is a great dog, but does not get a long with our cat. She needs a house with no cats. Not sure how she would be around other dogs. She is house trained and crate trained. She is young, around one year old. She has been walking well on a leash but does pull as all hounds do. She needs a decent size yard and walks. She is all hound. She has a very loud bay and follows her nose.

Meet Pearl! 🐾 Pearl is a sweet and energetic 1.5-year-old Hound mix with a big heart and a love for life! She’s happiest when she has a toy to play with and someone nearby to shower with affection. Her playful, curious personality makes her a fun companion, and she’s always ready for her next adventure. Pearl does have a special feeding and bathroom schedule due to a previous tail-pull injury. She’ll need a family who is willing to keep her routine consistent and give her the extra care she needs to stay comfortable and healthy. With a little patience and commitment, Pearl has so much love and fun to give in return! If you’re looking for a sweet, playful girl who will keep you smiling, Pearl may be your perfect match. 💕

Introducing Auburn! Auburn is a beautiful Cattle Dog / Heeler mix who is approximately 3 years old and currently weighs 30 pounds. We rescued this gorgeous gal from the Hondo, TX shelter and although we don’t really know much bout he background, it is clear that people have not always been very kind to her. During her spay surgery, our vet discovered that she had been shot in the leg with a pellet gun. All of that is behind her now and we are excited to help this sweet girl find the loving home she deserves. Auburn is a gentle and curious. She needs someone who will go slow with her so that she can feel comfortable knowing that she will be treated kindly. Once she feels safe, she loves getting attention and affection. She gets along well with the other dogs in her playgroup and is happy and playful! With patience and lots of love we know Auburn will blossom and become a wonderful, loving companion to her new family. She is just waiting for that special person to understand her! She has a heart of gold and shows ZERO aggression of any kind. Sweet, submissive and needs one on one time and love, that we cannot give her here at the rescue. Auburn is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas. She is spayed, up to date on all shots, microchipped and her adoption fee is $325. She is available for a meet and greet with an approved application. Auburn tested positive for Chagas disease and has started her treatment. This is completely curable after treatment and dogs can go on to live long and happy lives. Our rescue is one of the first to do Chagas testing for all of the dogs in our care and is having measurable success in the treatment protocol. We are also focused on continued education and awareness of Chagas to help even more dogs.
