Here’s why you’ll love him: 🎾 Playtime Pro: Asher has plenty of energy and absolutely loves a good game of fetch! 🐶 Social Butterfly: He gets along famously with other dogs and loves to play. 🧠 Smart Guy: He is crate trained and already knows "sit," "down," and "come." 🏠 Potty Habits: He is mostly potty trained, though he’s still learning to hold it when he gets super excited! 🧒 Kid-Friendly: He has a history of doing great with children. 🐱 Cat Curious: He enjoys chasing cats, so he would do best in a home with a dog-savvy feline friend. Asher is ready to bring his zest for life into your home. Are you the one he's been waiting for? Ready to Adopt? You have two options: #1- VISIT IN PERSON Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You’ll be able to meet available dogs in the shelter. (Dogs in foster care are not available for in-person visits.) #2- ADOPT REMOTELY OR PLACE A 24-HOUR HOLD** If you’re ready to adopt without meeting the dog first, or you’d like to place a non-refundable $25 hold to reserve a dog for 24 hours, just call or email us: (413) 781-4000 x 1 springfield@dakinhumane.org. We are often helping other clients when you call, but we return voicemails and emails within 24 hours. **Holds are not available for puppies under six months, on Saturdays, or during adoption events. -------------------------------------------- All adult dog adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies and kennel cough vaccinations - heartworm test -current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -microchip implanted & registered to adopter -treatment of fleas & ticks -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.
