Story
Coco was a stray cat that was trapped while looking for our own cat that ran away. Coco has lived with us for the past year, but our male chihuahua does not get along with him. He is a sweet loving cat who gets along with the rest of our dogs and other cat. He is an inside/outside cat and is crate trained. He is a calm cat and enjoys play time outside, cuddle time on the couch and snacks.

Story
Mama Swiffer was trapped as a feral cat in someone’s shed. Too fearful to be handled, she hung out in a foster’s laundry room until April 2nd. Then the Laundry Bunch was born, and the unknown feral cat was officially declared ‘Mama’ Swiffer. Since the birth of her 6 kittens, Swiffer has been happily adjusting to indoor life. She really likes pets and canned food, but also enjoys just relaxing and napping in the sun. Swiffer is still shy and doesn't like to be picked up and can still panic when restrained. However, she is not shy around dogs or other cats, and will easily adjust to a home with other animals. She greets her foster mom every morning with leg rubs; asking for all the pets and will leap for tuna. Swiffer also like toy mice, string toys and bedtime snuggles. Swiffer is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated! Please consider adopting Swiffer today!

Story
Mouse is a very sweet boy who gets along with other cats. He's been exposed to small dogs in his foster home, and he may be fine bigger dogs - providing they like cats, of course! He is still a bit shy with people but is coming out of his shell and no doubt will become a fully trusting kitty with a loving and patient adopter. He is still young and very playful, and he would love being in a house with other cats.

Not good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Matilda is a 1 1/2 yr old Bombay female, solid black fur, whiskers and pads, beautiful amber eyes. She is front declawed and MUST be indoor only. I recently adopted her, however, she fears my 14 yrs old small dog who shows no interest in her. His presence in the home makes her anxious and brings out very defensive behavior, therefore, she should be considered an only pet. No sure about other cats in household. She does use her litter pan. I will only consider an experienced adopter. She is a beautiful cat and would probably flourish in the right environment. I would love to keep her, however, her needs come first and she is not happy in my home.

Story
Masen and Juju are brothers from the same litter that we rescued/adopted 5 years ago. At that point in time they were 6 month old kittens but had been in a few foster homes prior to us welcoming them to our family. They’ve been wonderful, loving cats and we fully intended to be their “furever” home but my youngest son has been dealing with severe allergies for a long time and with the immunologist’s help tracked the source back to our cats. Unfortunately he has a cat allergy that he’s not going to be able to comfortably live with and we can’t put his well being behind the love we have for our cats. We actually have a total of 4 rescue cats but have been fortunate to find new homes for the other 2. We are hoping to find a family or families with lots of love to give. Masen is a little more codependent than Juju and will lay with you for as long as you’ll let him. Juju is affectionate but on his own terms and can do cool things like catch balls. Neither are high maintenance.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Prince is a orange tabby with a handsome coat and face.  He is approximately 5-7 years old. He has lived in a shelter  for a number of years after his owner passed away.  Prince is a very cautious guy around new humans but loves the company of other cats. He has come a long way since first arriving at the shelter. He enjoys being brushed, rubbed with scatcher, and petted on his back. He loves Fancy Feast too! Prince would be consider a "socially awkard cat".  What is a socially awkward cat?  Some cats are shy, timid, or fearful of people and other cats. They may hide, avoid, or even lash out when approached by strangers. These cats are not mean or unlovable; they are just socially awkward and need extra time and patience to trust and bond with their human companions. They may never become affectionate lap cats, but they have their own unique ways of showing love and appreciation. If you are looking for a cat who will challenge you, surprise you, and reward you with loyalty and devotion, then you might be the perfect match for one of our socially awkward cats.   Because these cats require more patience and understanding than most, we have a few special policies regarding them:   We will ask more questions about your home environment, other pets, children, and other details to make sure you are the right match for the cat. Please don't be discouraged if you are not the right fit! We have many other cats, and one of them is sure to be a fit. We typically arrange video meet-and-greets for these cats for the initial contact. Most of these cats get stressed out by new situations, and allowing them to be seen without that stress trigger makes for a better experience for everyone. We may discount the adoption fees for these cats. Our first priority is to find the right match between cat and human, and we realize that these kitties may take more time than most to settle in and determine compatibility.   If you think you may be the right fit for Prince or another one of our socially awkward cats, please fill out an interest form today!  back to topVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.    Our adoption fee is $175       If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Cat Interest Form on AZRAIN.ORG and, if you are selected as a prospective adopter, we will contact you to set up a meet and greet. Thank you for considering rescuing an animal in need!     February 20, 2024, 2:16 pm

Story
My friend and I found PiPi’s mom on the street when she was pregnant. Then PiPi’s mom gave birth to 5 cute kittens in March 2022. P is one of them and went home with me. P is a very active boy love to play all kinds of cat toys, enjoy snacks and sun bath. He loves people and snuggles. I have to give him up because my older cat couldn’t get along with him very well. We tried all different ways for a year but all didn’t workout. We are very sad to give him away and we wish we could look for a household who love cat and willing to give him a forever home.
