The contact information is listed at the end of each biography.  What you need to do to adopt:If you would like to adopt a pet in need from Almost Home, basically, an application must be filled out. We will check two personal references and a vet reference. If you are approved for adoption, there is a trial period of about one week to make sure this is the animal for you and you are the person for the animal. Along with the trial period, a contract must be signed that basically states that if ever you cannot keep the animal that you must return the animal to Almost Home. Last but not least, a home check will be done. Meet & Greets:An approved application is required. This does not mean that you have to adopt but that you are approved to do so if everything works out. My owner's father promised to watch me but he didn't really want to take care of me. He threatened to kill me or throw me outside if my foster mommy didn't rescue me RIGHT THEN! He was not a very nice man. My foster mommy is wonderful though! She lets me play with other kitties and lay in her lap. I love her lap! I'm just sweet as can be. When they are adopted younger than 5 months, they MUST be adopted in East Tennessee.ADOPTION FEE: The adoption fee for a cat is $85. The adoption fee for a kitten is $100. The adoption fee does include the kittens being fixed and their rabies shot when they are old enough through one of our local vets. The adoption fee for a dog is $200. The adoption fee for a puppy is $250. The adoption fee does include the puppies being fixed and their rabies shot when they are old enough through one of our local vets. Mature pet adoption fees are sometimes reduced. The adoption fee for pure bred dogs and cats will vary due to health and age of pet. This helps support our ill animals and our mutts that get left in the system longer. I was rescued along with my siblings, Hermonie, Fireball and Angel. We all were ill from being outside on our own. The nice person that rescued us took us to the vet ASPA! Two of my siblings' lost sight in one of their eyes but I and Hermonie were lucky and our eyesight was saved. None of us care though! We all get along just like any other kittens. We are perfect! Kevin is a joyful and fun kitten! He is about 5.5 to 6 months old currently . Kevin (Kevie) is very high energy and loves to play. He keeps up with the adult cats in playing. He runs the house like a maniac playing and zooming around. He would be a great playmate to your current cat. He will definitely need a playmate. He needs a friend that likes to play. He can be a little rough in his play so shy cats will not be a good match for him. He needs a high energy playmate. So it is a requirement for his adoption he have a cat friend. I also recommend no small children as he is learning hands are not toys. While he is quite energetic he is also the biggest love bug on the planet. Kevie curls up on you for a nap and loves to suckel on your shirt and make biscuits.He loves kisses too. He is a great kitten. We enjoy fostering him in our home and he will be a fantastic companion to some lucky cat and family. Has great litter box manners also.December 2, 2023, 2:48 pm

Fritz is a very sweet and loving boy. He will make a fantastic companion. He is FIV+ but that is just a label. We know they can live just as long as non FIV cats. He doesn't like other cats tho. He wants all the attention for himself. If you give this sweet boy a chance you will not be disappointed.December 2, 2023, 2:48 pm
