Story
We're looking for a home for our beloved Maggie. She came to us in the pandemic having been abandoned in her carrier outside a friend's house. We're moving to the UK. She likes her routine; her vet thought she;d be unhappy with a major move. She's friendly, a character, likes to sit on laps sometimes, next to people always. She is talkative including hissing; she swats but with velvet paws. She's a great purrer. Shes on prozac, which we would happily pay for for the rest of her life. Two possible adopters have fallen through for outside reasons and all leads have eventually failed. By now we would take her with us, but we're traveling and in temporary housing for a number of weeks. I will be back in September and can take her back with me on October 3rd, if anyone willing to foster for that amount of time. (I still think she'd hate the move, but we love her and want what's best for her.) Another possibility fell through today, which is why we are here at the last moment.

Story
Cicada is a young, gorgous black bombay kitten with striking golden eyes. In the sunlight, you can see her little siamese stripes peeking through her fur. Cicada is an independent girl who loves the company of other cats, especially her foster friend Fly! Together they are a goofy bunch of play and snuggles. Cicada is on the shyer and calmer side and would do best with another kitty in the home. Contact Austin Siamese Rescue to fill out an application or contact the foster listed with any questions.  Melissaadler79@hotmail.com ##2424295##

Story
Affectionate, Calm, Trusting Meet Neighbor Tommy! This sweet boy has been around the block and is so ready to relax into a calm housecat life. He is instantly your friend and was already purring and rubbing his head against his fosters' hands before he was out of his carrier. For a cat who lived on the street before this, it's so heartwarming to see his trust and love shine out! Neighbor Tommy is also a champion flopper! Sometimes he gets up to alternate his flops toward different people just to get new pets. He loves to spend time using his people as a pillow in bed or on the couch and is a topnotch nap companion. And he absolutely loves conversations with his people - he will always meow back with his tiny little kitten voice! You can see more of Neighbor Tommy at his fosters' instagram: instagram.com/newlybuies He has a limp that is still being treated by the APA! medical team. He would do best in a calm home, since trying to run from exuberant animals or children would be difficult with his mobility. He currently takes some medication but otherwise is a happy boy living his life to the fullest. We would love to answer any questions you may have about his medical needs! Neighbor Tommy needs a soft place to land - could that be your home? Or even your arms? He would love to meet you! Reach out to us to set up a meet and greet. All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. For further information or to meet Neighbor Tommy, please email adopt@austinpetsalive.org.
