Story
We rescued Pickles and his sister (Sprinkles) last May, after they were dumped on a rural county road. Pickles is a big personality and a hit with the neighborhood kids, but has caused some issues with our neighbors that do not care for cats. Unfortunately, we had an incident recently where Pickles nipped a neighbor. Pickles is a year and a half neutered male, good with kids, good with other pets, and very friendly. Our cats stay in the garage and outdoors during the day, but I am unable to make them indoor cats due to allergies in the family. We have tried for several months to resolve the issues that Pickles has caused with our neighbors, but now the best course is to find him a new loving home. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi. With a heavy heart I am looking to rehome Crash. I adopted him at an Austin animal shelter in 2012. I divorced my wife a couple of years ago and currently take care of our 3 and 8 year old boys 50% of the time. I’m always really really busy and can’t give him very much attention besides just feeding him and cleaning the litter box. I’m looking for the new home to be loving and nurturing. He loves to play with toys and run around the house. He also loves to have his fur brushed. Adjectives to describe him would be playful, sleepy, and loving (minus small children). He doesn’t seem to care for small children (he just steers clear), but he’s not mean and has never harmed children or adults. He’s been a good cat, but I think he’d be happier in a home where he receives more attention. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!

We were unaware of this until Loki started being picked on by her. Loki would thrive in a home that matches his playful energy, allowing him to be his happy, active self without the fear of being bullied. Loki is in perfect health and is eager to find a family that can provide him with the love, attention, and playtime he deserves. He received his rabies shot and a checkup 8/13/24. Loki is a lovable, funfilled lap cat whose favorite place is by your side. We have come to love him dearly, unfortunately, our older cat has not felt the same way since he came to live with us and continues to bully poor Loki. We have tried everything to ease the tension but Freya has no interest in sharing her home and has been pretty aggressive at times. We feel that it is best for Loki that he find a loving home that he doesn’t have to worry about being bullied by another pet. We hope that home is with you. He has definitely been a wonderful addition to our family. We really wish things would’ve worked out but now all we want is for him to find a home where he is loved, happy and safe. We look forward to meeting his new forever parents!

Chula is super sweet but still a bit shy. She was living under my neighbor's house. (She is not yet a year old.) She did not hesitate to come get the food that my friend offered her and immediately befriended her, purring all the while and coming when my friend would call her to eat. You can definitely pet her while she's eating and she begins to purr the whole time. I have never heard her hiss. She gets along so well with her brother, scampering through the house and playing a lot. She gets along well with our three other cats and chihuahua, although she doesn't interact with them much. She is not afraid to come hang out with us wherever we are, like in the living room when we are watching TV. She and her brother must feel the need to be in the same room with us. We seek someone who has patience with cats that are shy and/or afraid. We are determined that they go to a forever home as a bonded pair and be indoor-only cats. Just looking at Chula makes your heart sing.
