Story
UPDATE! Ally appears to be 1 1/2 yo border collie mix. She was found on the side of the road after having puppies previously. She is great in the house and crate. She does well on a leash and is great with other animals and kids. She loves to play with her foster siblings and chew on her toys. She is utd, hw neg (tested below detectable Levels) and spayed.  Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.  All dogs have a $195 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!  Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $145 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications! Story
NEWBIE ALERT!! Holly is a 5 year old border collie mix (we think). She’s friendly, good with other dogs and kids of all ages. She has one blue eye and one brown and her coat is almost like a terrier. She’s the perfect mutt! She does well with basic commands and loves her chew toys. Her personality is a bit goofy, but she’s smart and sweet. She will complete her vetting Saturdays and will then be adoption ready!  Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. Story
GusGus is a smart, active 10 year old Australian Shepherd. He loves going on walks and playing fetch. Make sure to have a second ball handy, as he’ll trade the one in his mouth for another and keep the game going. He is incredibly intelligent and curious, which means he may get into things like the trash if it’s left accessible when you’re away. However, this is easily managed, his current family has had no issues for years simply by keeping the trash secured.GusGus does have some storm anxiety, but it’s limited to intense thunderstorms. He loves to be near his owner during thunderstorms for comfort.Due to the presence of a young child, we’ve made the difficult decision to find Gusgus a new home. He would do best in a home that understands his needs and can provide a structured, attentive environment where his energy and intelligence are put to good use.
