Story
UPDATE! Ally appears to be 1 1/2 yo border collie mix. She was found on the side of the road after having puppies previously. She is great in the house and crate. She does well on a leash and is great with other animals and kids. She loves to play with her foster siblings and chew on her toys. She is utd, hw neg (tested below detectable Levels) and spayed.  Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.  All dogs have a $195 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!  Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $145 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications! Story
NEWBIE ALERT!! Holly is a 5 year old border collie mix (we think). She’s friendly, good with other dogs and kids of all ages. She has one blue eye and one brown and her coat is almost like a terrier. She’s the perfect mutt! She does well with basic commands and loves her chew toys. Her personality is a bit goofy, but she’s smart and sweet. She will complete her vetting Saturdays and will then be adoption ready!  Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. True to her name, Precious is a sweet and gentle young dog whose quiet nature and kind spirit make her truly special. While the world can sometimes feel a little overwhelming to her, she approaches life with a soft, loving heart and a desire to trust those who show her patience and understanding. At just one year old, Precious is still learning that life can be full of kindness, comfort, and security. She tends to be cautious in new situations and prefers to take things at her own pace. Rather than rushing into unfamiliar experiences, Precious likes to observe, process, and build confidence gradually. With gentle encouragement and a patient family by her side, she continues to discover that the world isn`t such a scary place after all.Precious enjoys calm environments where she can feel safe and relaxed. She finds comfort in quiet moments, cozy spaces, and people who understand that trust is built over time. As she settles in and becomes more comfortable, her sweet personality begins to shine, revealing a loyal companion who wants nothing more than to be loved and accepted.Quiet SidePrecious is happiest in peaceful surroundings where she can relax and simply enjoy being herself. Loud noises, busy environments, and sudden changes can make her feel uncertain, so she thrives in a home that offers stability, patience, and understanding. She enjoys quiet time with her favorite people and finding comfortable places where she can watch the world go by. Whether she`s resting nearby, exploring at her own pace, or enjoying a calm afternoon in the yard, Precious appreciates life`s simpler moments. As her confidence grows, she continues to discover new things and build trust in the people around her. Every small victory is a big accomplishment for this brave young girl.Sweet SideWhat truly makes Precious special is her gentle and loving heart. Beneath her cautious exterior is a kind soul who wants to connect with others and feel safe in their company. She may need a little extra time to warm up, but once she does, the bond she forms is incredibly rewarding.Precious responds beautifully to patience, consistency, and kindness. She is the kind of dog who will flourish with a family willing
