Story
📍 Location: Taber, Alberta 📅 Age: 2 Years ⚖️ Size: Medium ⚡ Energy Level: High 🐶 Dogs: Yes 🐱 Cats: NO 👶 Kids: YES 🩺 Vetting Included: Spayed, Vaccined, Microchipped Meet Journey – your future partner-in-adventure! Hi, I’m Journey—a fun-loving, spirited girl who’s ready to start the next chapter of her life with a family who’s as excited about adventure as I am! Since arriving in foster care, I’ve grown in confidence and joy, and I’m so ready to find my forever home. I’m a high-energy pup who lives for playtime, whether it's a game of tug, fetch in the backyard, or a hike through the trees. Toys are my absolute favorite—especially the ones I can chew, toss, or chase! I may be a little shy when meeting new people at first, but once I feel safe, my curious, goofy, and affectionate side comes out in full force. I love to cuddle on the couch with my people, and once you’ve earned my trust, get ready for endless kisses and snuggles—I'm a total lovebug. Smart cookie alert! I know all the basics like sit, down, shake a paw, and even have a bit of sass with my “talk back” trick. Right now, I’m working on “stay” and “place,” and I love learning new things—especially when tasty treats are involved. I’m crate trained (my cozy den is my happy place), sleep through the night, and have great recall. I also walk nicely on leash and would love to explore the world with you. I do need a home with another playful, confident dog—having a buddy helps me feel secure and brings out my best self. I’m not suited for homes with cats or small animals, though—I get a bit too excited around them and don’t quite know how to settle. I’m house trained but still appreciate frequent potty breaks while I’m loose in the house. If you're looking for a bright, loyal, and playful pup who’s ready to fill your life with laughter, love, and adventures—look no further. Let’s start this journey together! Click "apply to adopt" to complete an application and one of our team leads will be in touch via email to arrange a phone within a few business days.

Story
Quick Facts Name: Louis Age: 3.5 years old (born in 2021)  Gender: Male  Spayed: Yes Breed: Border Collie & Jindo Mix  Color: White with beige spots  Weight: 17kg    My Journey I had quite the adventure before getting here! I was once in a shelter, facing an uncertain future. On the very last day before my time was up, a kind rescue group stepped in and saved me. There was even a mix-up where another pup was rescued in my place, but in the end, everything worked out, and now I’m safe and ready to find my forever home!   My Health Fully vaccinated Neutered Heartworm treatment completed (August–October 2024, Stage 1) Heartworm retest coming up soon   My Personality I may be a little reserved when meeting new people, but give me a treat, and I’ll warm up quickly! I’ll even let you give me gentle pets once we become friends. I like to take my time getting to know someone, but once I trust you, I’ll remember you forever. I have a calm and balanced personality, and I enjoy both outdoor playtime and relaxing at home. I love meeting other dogs and will happily say hello to new furry friends! When I see a cat outside, I might stop and watch for a moment, but I always listen when my person guides me along.   My Favourite Things Exploring the Outdoors – I love my walks and enjoy getting fresh air. Making New Dog Friends – I have a friendly and playful nature. Tasty Treats – The fastest way to my heart!   Life at Home I’m a quiet and well-mannered pup who doesn’t bark much. I’m used to outdoor potty breaks, and I don’t guard my food from people or other dogs. I’m still getting used to car rides—I can handle short trips, but on long rides, I sometimes get a little queasy. I also prefer not to be in a kennel for too long, but with time, I settle in and relax. One thing to know about me: I have a great memory! If I’ve had a not-so-fun experience, like a vet visit, I might be a little cautious the next time I see that person. But don’t worry—I never react negatively, I just like to keep my distance at first. When I visited a home with a cat, I was very curious but stayed polite. I approached gently to sniff, showing my friendly and respectful nature.   My Ideal Home I’m looking for a loving family that will give me time to adjust and build trust. If you’re patient and kind, I’ll be your most loyal and loving companion! A Calm & Loving Home – I bond deeply with my people and thrive in a safe, caring environment.A Friendly Dog Companion (Optional) – I enjoy socializing with other dogs, so I’d love a furry sibling!Outdoor Adventures – I appreciate time outside, followed by peaceful relaxation at home.   Special Notes If you’re looking for a gentle, intelligent, and affectionate companion, I just might be the one for you! I can’t wait to start my next chapter with my forever family.   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here! Louis's YouTube Playlist ##2318483##

Story
Quick Facts  Name: Damon Age: Estimated 7 months Gender: Male Neutered: Yes Breed: Border Collie mix Color: Black and white Weight: 12.5 kg Height: 48 cm (to the shoulder when standing on all fours) Health Vaccinations: Up-to-date, including rabies and comprehensive vaccinations. Heartworm Test: Negative (tested in July 2024).   All About MeHello! I’m Damon, a lively and clever Border Collie mix who’s always ready for an adventure. My story began on a tough note—I was found lying weak and dehydrated on the streets. Thankfully, kind people noticed me and brought me to safety, where I was nursed back to health. Since then, I’ve blossomed into a strong, happy pup, and now I’m ready to find a family who’s as enthusiastic about life as I am!   Social SkillsTrue to my Border Collie roots, I’m full of energy and love to play. Whether it’s chasing after toys, playing tug, or running in wide-open spaces, I’m in my element when I get to move and explore. I also enjoy playing with my dog friends, and while I can be a little rambunctious, it’s all in good fun! I’m happiest with buddies who don’t mind my playful style, but I know how to be gentle when the situation calls for it. When it comes to people, I might be a little shy at first—especially around younger children who make sudden moves—but once I get comfortable, I warm up quickly and enjoy gentle pets and attention. I even don’t mind being picked up into a cozy hug! I’ve also been practicing my manners and obedience skills in a training program, where I’m impressing everyone with my intelligence and eagerness to learn.   Energy and ActivitiesMy energy level is pretty high, so outdoor adventures are essential for me to burn off steam. After a good play session or a nice walk, though, I settle down happily and relax. On walks, I can get a bit excited and pull on the leash, but I respond well to gentle guidance. I’m naturally focused on my human, so with a little training, I’m sure I’ll be a great walking buddy.   Training and HabitsAs for my routine, I’m a big fan of outdoor bathroom breaks, and I’m learning about scent marking when in new places—it’s just my way of saying hello! I’m pretty quiet at home and rarely bark, but I might give a little yip if I want something.   Special NotesOverall, I’m looking for an experienced family, ideally one who understands Border Collies or active, intelligent dogs like me. I’ll thrive in a home where I can get plenty of physical exercise and mental stimulation, as well as consistent guidance. With my smarts, boundless energy, and loving personality, I’m eager to be someone’s loyal and playful companion. Story
Oreo is a 3-year-old male Border Collie/Jindo mix who was rescued from a shelter just before he was scheduled for euthanasia. Sadly, and for unknown reasons, before finding himself abandoned and alone at the shelter, his teeth had been deliberately ground down. Amazingly and despite this, he remains a lively, energetic, and otherwise healthy dog who is remarkably intelligent, craves human interaction, and is very loyal to his guardian. Oreo has the exceptional intelligence typical of Border Collies, fully understanding various commands such as "sit," "wait," and "house." He is also deeply loyal to his guardian and has a strong capacity for forming deep bonds typical of the Jindo breed. He is truly a remarkable dog who has the capacity to grow into an even more amazing companion through continued obedience training and by establishing a trusting relationship with his guardian. Oreo is incredibly affectionate and loves people. He is also very social and gets along well with other dogs. However, he has a habit of jumping when excited, which requires caution when a person is interacting with him in a low position. With consistent training, this behavior can be corrected. Being highly energetic, Oreo possesses excellent jumping ability. At the training center, he has been known to leap over fences—not out of a desire to escape, but due to his curiosity and strong attachment to his guardian. In fact, he has demonstrated behavior where he jumps over a fence when he hears his guardian's voice outside, only to return shortly after. For this reason, families with yards should ensure proper supervision, and a high-fenced environment may be more suitable. The Ideal Family for Oreo is: ✔️ Someone who understands the high intelligence and energy levels of Border Collies, the exceptional loyalty of Jindos, and can provide sufficient mental and physical stimulation ✔️ Someone with experience in training or handling large dogs ✔️ Someone who values bonding with their dog and is ready to build a deep connection ✔️ Someone who can provide ample space for Oreo to move and exercise freely Despite his heartbreaking past, Oreo still loves people and finds his greatest happiness in being with his guardian. With so much intelligence and energy, he has limitless potential to become the perfect lifelong companion if he meets the right family, one that understands him and is ready to provide him with love, care, and proper training. Oreo is waiting for his new family! ❤️

Story
*Must be only dog in the home (may consider a home with a female dog) *No young children, 13+ *Calm/quiet household Panda is estimated to be 3-4 years old. With the skin condition and bad wear and tear of his teeth, we knew he had been homeless for quite some time. Now, he is on the mend and looking for his forever family. He is friendly with humans but is very sensitive to loud noises and may get irritated. Due to this, Panda will need a semi-experienced adopter - someone who understands his breed and his needs. Panda is currently in China, but available to fly to you in the coming months. Please send us an email if you are interested in learning more about Panda and our adoption process!
