Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Charlie, he is a 9 month old shepherd/cattle dog mix and weighs 60 pounds. Charlie is a sweet sensitive dog with nice house manners and his energy level can be pretty mellow for such a young fella. He's housebroken and crate trained. His current living situation is in a foster home with other dogs and a cat. He is more of a stay at home and enjoying walks around the neighborhood dog rather than going out to loud noisy places. Charlie loves to play with toys and is learning to bring back the ball when thrown. He can be shy when first meeting new people and takes some time to warm up to them. Small children are scary to him so a home with older kids is recommended. He would be happiest in a home with another dog of similar size, providing him with the companionship and playtime he needs. Are you ready to open your heart and home to this incredible pup? Charlie is waiting to become your loyal, loving, and endlessly entertaining new family member. Give him the chance he deserves, and you'll experience the joy of a furry friend who's always up for fun and adventure. Contact us today to arrange a meeting with Charlie, and let the journey to a lifelong friendship begin. Don't miss out on the chance to make Charlie a part of your life! Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. Meet Wallaby, an approximately 3-year-old Queensland Heeler Mix. Wallaby came to us as a stray, but since no one came forward to claim him, he is now available for adoption. Wallaby is very shy when meeting new people but once he warms up it's like you have always been his best friend. Wallaby seems to really enjoy the company of other dogs. If you are interested in Wallaby and have other dogs, a meet and greet would be required. We are also unsure at this time whether he is good with cats. Meet Wile, as in Wile E. Coyote. Wile is an approximately 8-10-month-old Cattle Dog mix. He was brought to the shelter as a stray. Upon evaluation by a veterinarian, we have learned that Wile is suffering from a cruciate ligament injury which he will need surgery for. We are currently asking for donations to help us cover the cost of this surgery.Wile loves playing fetch and being active. He is a sweet boy who loves people. It appears that Wile is house trained. He seems to like other dogs, however, a meet and greet with any potential fur siblings is required. If you would like to meet Wile, please give us call at 928-636-4223, ext. 7.

Story
Meet Poppy, an approximately 4-month-old female Queensland Heeler mix. Poppy was brought in to the shelter as a stray and, after not being claimed, she is now up for adoption. Poppy has a ton of puppy energy and will need someone who is ready to take all that on. Poppy is a friend of all, she has taken to every person and dog that she has met here at the shelter. She does great with other dogs, loves to romp and play with them. We are unsure of how Poppy will be with kids or cats, but given her age and temperament we assume she will do very well, although she will probably need training on how to appropriately interact with them. Puppies are a BIG commitment! Poppy has had her first DAPP shot, but she still needs at least 2 boosters before she can be out and about in public. A potential owner should be knowledgeable on the risks of Parvo and the measures taken to prevent it. She has an appointment set for her spay, rabies vaccination and microchip on 04/18/24, but she is able to go home with her new owner prior to that. If you are interested in meeting Poppy, call the shelter to set up an appointment today at 928-636-4223, ext. 7!
