Story
Calling all of our border collie lovers! Meet Billy Jack — a bright, bold Border Collie with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Billy Jack is very outgoing and absolutely loves attention. If you’re looking for a dog who wants to be involved in everything you do, he’s your guy. He’s extremely smart and curious, always observing, learning, and figuring things out (sometimes faster than you expect!). True to his breed, Billy Jack will bond quickly and deeply with his person and thrive in a home where he gets mental stimulation, structure, and plenty of interaction. A few important notes: Billy Jack is not good with cats, so he’ll need a cat-free home. As a highly intelligent Border Collie, he’ll do best with an adopter who understands and loves the breed and is ready to provide training, enrichment, and exercise. If you’re ready for a loyal, affectionate, brainy companion who will be your shadow and your teammate, Billy Jack is ready to meet you. Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. To ensure the best fit, UAF conducts a home visit to meet other pets and verify a safe, secure yard. If you have any questions or to adopt a dog an application must submitted. Filling out this form does not obligate you to adopt, but gives us the information needed to make sure the pet is suited to your home. HOW TO APPLY: From Petfinder.com The fastest way to get to the adoptable dog page is to copy and then paste this link into your browser: https://unitedanimalfriends.org/adoptable-dogs/ When you are on the UAF website Select "Adoptable Dogs" and pick the dog you are interested in. To apply to adopt, go into the dog's profile, and click the gray "Apply for Adoption" button to get started. You could be a life saver! Help us save more lives by fostering a dog or cat. If you live in the Prescott Az area please go to our website unitedanimalfriends.org and learn more about fostering!

Story
Hey there Valentine, this is Daisy, and I am a 5-year-old total love bug and people pleasing Border Collie who forms deep bonds and thrives on companionship and affection. I appear shy when you first meet me because I am unsure of myself here in the shelter and have separation anxiety. My lady love had to relocate for work, and I was surrendered to the shelter. I thought I was going to day care but quickly realized that I was not going home at the end of the day. I am just broken hearted to be away from the love that I have known for so many years. It`s time for me to find my new family to love!I am affectionate, alert, responsive, emotionally intelligent and attach quickly to people who help me feel secure. I am smart, able to learn, follow commands and mostly I need exercise and mental stimulation to stay balanced and connected. I am beautiful, soft, fluffy, happy, pleasant, quietly confident, and potty trained. Border Collies are known to be loyal, lovable and adaptable so I think that makes me an awesome pet for your family. I would do best in a home where someone is around often and willing to help me regain my confidence. In return, I will fill your days with affection, gratitude and unconditional love!I am spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines.Whether you’re out for an adventure or curled up on the couch, I am the loyal canine companion that will love you forever. Please contact my caring friends at the Humane Society of Sedona at: 928.282.4679 any day of the week 10am-4pm; excluding major holidays and schedule a love-a-thon with me!

Story
Meet Mimi! Mimi is an 8-month-old, 36-pound mixed-breed sweetheart with a soft black coat and the cutest brown “eyebrows” you’ve ever seen. This gentle girl is still discovering the world, and while she may be a little timid at first, she’s already showing how much love and curiosity she has to offer. Because she hasn’t had much exposure to new places or experiences, Mimi approaches life with cautious little steps—but she’s learning every day. She’s currently working on her leash skills and gaining confidence, and she’ll thrive with a patient adopter who can help her explore at her own pace. Mimi gets along well with other dogs and may even benefit from a calm, friendly canine companion to show her the ropes. With time, reassurance, and a loving home, she’s sure to blossom into a loyal, affectionate companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, sensitive pup ready to grow into her best self, Mimi might be the perfect match. 🐾 Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue.
