Story
My name is Cooper and I am a handsome medium sized 3-year-old male Border Collie mix with soft fluffy chocolate and white flowing fur, a thick curly tail, and stunning orange eyes. I enjoy being brushed and hanging out. I take treats very softly, know sit, and walk beside my human. I walk pretty well on a leash and enjoy being outdoors. I am playful, fun, happy, curious, gentle, patient, friendly, intelligent and a pleasure to be around. I bring a happy, mature, and playful presence wherever I go. I was surrendered to the shelter, and I am very lonely here. I love my volunteer as he makes me feel joy just by his soft touch and kindness. You can tell that I have been attached to people by how much I want to be by your side and be loved. I enjoy spending time with people, whether that means a nice walk, playtime or simply relaxing by your side. I enjoy playing fetch and will return the ball to you, and if I get too excited, I will respond quickly to your down command. I really enjoy having my face and neck rubbed and return your love with hand kisses.I am eager to please and thrive in a home once again. I need to be the only animal in your home as I can be dog reactive and this way I can have all your attention to myself. In return you will find me to be a loyal, happy and obedient canine buddy. I need a consistent adopter, who can provide structure, a bit more training and daily fun.I am neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines and house broken. If you’re looking for a dependable, loving canine bestie, I am ready to be yours! Contact the super folks at the Humane Society of Sedona at: 928.282.4679 any day of the week 10am-4pm; excluding major holidays and come play and have fun with me.

Story
Born Feb 15, 2026, McKaybee is currently a 4-month-old Border Collie/Pyrenees mix. He came to be when our family decided to rescue a Great Pyrenees female stray found in our neighborhood. Later, we found out she was pregnant and gave birth to 11 pups. McKaybee is a sweet, no-drama, quiet-tempered puppy. He would make a great companion and a possible candidate for an emotional support service dog. They have been exposed to small kids, cats, birds, and other dogs. But as pups, they will need continued training and an emphasis on continued socialization, as all pups require. We are in search of good homes where this pup will be treated with respect and loved as a family member. We are sad to let them go, but unfortunately, we can't keep them all.

Story
The History: Our family has always appreciated the Great Pyrenees breed. Have had many throughout the years. In late Jan 2026, we rescued a young female Great Pyrenees-type looking dog, a stray or dumped dog in the neighborhood. We put up flyers and took out notices on the next-door and lost & found sites- no one stepped forward. To prevent her from going to the humane society, we took her in. At her first vet appointment, we found out she was pregnant. She had eleven puppies - and while most have found their forever homes - we have 2 good boys available. Born 2/25/2026 - We call him Brawndo, and he is 4/months old. He has displayed a very good temperament in learning all the behaviors that LGD's require. They have been reared by a working female Great Pyrenees. Brawndo shows traits of a guarding/working dog; further training is a must. He will need training and supervision with foul as he's been around them but only through a fence. Brawndo is a very curious puppy. I have more info.

These pups are in Prescott, Arizona too!

Story
Meet Alice — a resilient little athlete with a heart full of loyalty and love. At just 35 pounds, this petite heeler mix is smart, happy, and full of personality. Every morning, Alice greets the day with frantic wiggles, bright smiles, and excitement to be near her people. Alice loves walks and is wonderful on leash, happiest when she’s exactly one step behind her trusted person, quietly keeping pace. Life hasn’t always been easy for her — she survived on her own while caring for herself and her puppies, which made her resourceful, observant, and strong. Alice is cautious with strangers at first. But quickly she decides you’re safe and her affectionate side shines. She adores brushing, belly rubs, and being as physically close to her people as possible. Like many heelers, Alice forms a deep bond with her chosen person, and will likely connect especially strongly with her new home and family. Alice is learning that indoor life is also safe and comfortable. She has never had to be "house trained" as she instinctively taken herself outside to "potty". Every day Alice grows more confident and curious. She gets along beautifully with other dogs and tends to be playful, gentle, and submissive in social settings. Alice is looking for a patient, loving home where she can continue to blossom into the devoted companion she’s meant to be. Story
ADOPTION PENDING! Meet Ozzie! 💙 Ozzie is a blue merle Queensland Heeler mix with striking black and white markings. He is an affectionate, 1 ½ year-old boy who weighs 45 lbs. Ozzie is house, crate and leash trained. He knows “sit” and “give paw.” He also rides well in a car. This boy is very athletic and intelligent. He responds well to having a schedule and loves to take walks and go on hikes. He has boundless energy and is always ready for an adventure. Yet, he settles well and enjoys his snuggle time with his human. Ozzie would be happiest with a large grassy, fenced yard where he can run and play. When bored he will dig and needs to be redirected with chew toys. He loves chewing on antlers. Ozzie does need more training to improve his behavior in other settings. He gets overly excited when he encounters another dog at a park or on a trail, and plays too rough with dogs at the dog park. He is a quiet boy - only barks when he gets excited around other dogs. Ozzie will jump up on people and has to be told “down.” He means no harm, but he could easily knock down small children or older adults. Otherwise, he is good with adults. It is unknown how he is with children. Ozzie is a great dog. He is sure to excel with a new owner that is dedicated to giving him continued training and structure. United Animal Friends offers very affordable training with Ozzie’s former trainer.
