Story
Candy aficionados can tell you that gumdrop flavors fall into two distinct, nostalgic categories- fruity and spiced. Traditional fruity, sugar-sanded gumdrops typically feature cherry, orange, lemon, lime, grape, and pineapple flavors. Conversely, classic `spice drops` feature warm, distinct flavors including cinnamon, clove, anise (licorice), spearmint, wintergreen and sassafras. The great thing about gumdrops is that there’s a flavor for any taste! At Pima Animal Care Center, we also have every “flavor” of pup you can imagine! We even have a young pup named Gumdrop, who, like his licorice-flavored candy counterpart, will surely hit the spot for the right family!Gumdrop appears to have lived much of his young life on the streets and is learning what it means to be a well-loved, cared-for pup. He is sensitive and shy around unfamiliar people and likes to take things slow. That being said, he is learning the shelter routines, and his volunteer friends are so proud of him- here’s what one said:“This was my second time taking out Gumdrop and he has improved. The first time he was much more timid walking on leash and we were only able to walk to the nearest yard. Tonight we walked quite a way, at his pace; he actually seemed to enjoy sniffing around. I think the more time he has with the routine, he will continue to improve.”Gumdrop shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been social and tolerant when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’s looking for a devoted family who will keep him safe and give him time and patience as he adjusts to a new home. They say that good things come to those who wait, and we think Gumdrop has waited long enough to find his furever family! Come meet him today!

Web Link: 24petconnect.com/PimaAdoptablePets/Details/PIMA/A873643 About: Meet Dean: A Young Pup Ready for His Second Chance!Looking for a handsome project with a heart of gold? Meet Dean, an adorable 8-month-old tricolor mixed-breed boy who is eager to find his forever home and learn how to be the best companion he can be!Dean, along with one of his littermates Max A873644 and possibly his mother, came to PACC under unfortunate circumstances. They were involved in an incident where they exited an open gate and bit a passerby.Because of his past, Dean is looking for a special adopter – someone who is committed to putting in the hard work to show him how to properly interact with people and navigate the world. He`ll also need patient guidance to learn essential skills like walking politely on a leash. We believe Dean could truly blossom in a home with a confident resident dog who can act as a mentor, showing him the ropes of `proper dogging` and helping him build his confidence. This young boy deserves a chance to grow into the amazing dog we know he can be he just needs the right guidance and understanding home.If you`re ready to open your heart and dedicate yourself to shaping a wonderful young dog`s future, come to PACC and ask to meet Dean!Available for long term foster care (30+ days) or adoption through PACC.Interested parties:Must visit PACC before the 3:00PM Saturday July 12, 2025 deadline to meet with a counselor who will review notes and introduce you to the dog to ensure that it’s a good fit. Some dogs may also require an introduction to any dogs they may potentially live with. Story
Gunther is a sweet, sensitive, devoted, 12ish year old boy that's young at heart and weighs about 40 lbs.  He can be a bit bossy and possessive when it comes to interacting with other dogs, but he's been really good with the Chihuahua that he's been fostered with, and he loves to run and play with a female friend of his that's about his size.  He also does very well being the only dog, and would love to have a human or two that he doesn't have to share with anyone else and a big yard to run around in.  He had a benign anal tumor removed about a year ago, but recovered quickly and completely.  He's been chipped, neutered and is up to date on his vaccinations. Gunther's adoption fee is $275, with a $21 PACC license transfer fee. he is adoptable to homes in Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley, Catalina and Sahuarita only. Please fill out an adoption application here http://tucsoncoldwetnoses.com/adoptable-pets/adoption-application/ to meet Gunther or email info@tucsoncoldwetnoses.com with any questions  *Applications to adopt: wwwTucsonColdWetNoses.com Home Visit / ID and Residence Verification is required.  Compliance does not imply or guarantee adoption.   Approval is the sole discretion of CWN representative(s).
