Gunther is a sweet, 9ish year old boy that's young at heart and weighs about 40 lbs.  He can be a bit bossy and possessive when it comes to interacting with other dogs, but he's been really good with the Chihuahua that he's been fostered with, and he loves to run and play with a female friend of his that's about his size.  He also does very well being the only dog, and would love to have a human or two that he doesn't have to share with anyone else and a big yard to run around in.  Gunther is sensitive and devoted.   Gunther's adoption fee is $275, with a $21 PACC license transfer fee. he is adoptable to homes in Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley, Catalina and Sahuarita only. CENSUS DEADLINE5PM FRIDAY 06/13/25AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION OR FOSTERName: MaximusAnimal ID: A865059Age: 3yrWeight: 52.00About:Maximus is a handsome guy who shines outside of his kennel- just ask to meet him and you’ll see! This affectionate, playful boy has many fans at the shelter- here’s what some of them have said:“Maximus can be vocal behind the barrier of his kennel, but don’t let that deter you! He leashes easily and once away from the noise, he is just an easygoing snuggle bug. He jumped up on one of the picnic tables and I gave him some love and pets and he gave me a couple sweet kisses on the cheek. He’s a cute fella!”“This morning was my first time walking Maximus. Once outside he relaxed and accepted treats willingly. We walked around the lake with his kennelmate. Maximus walked with loose body language and a wagging tail. Such a good boy!”Maximus shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been appropriate and independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup.Maximus is now facing a deadline due to increasingly high kennel census here at PACC and must find placement with a PACC approved adopter or foster by 5pm on Friday June 13th.Available for foster care (2+ weeks) or adoption through PACC.Interested parties:Must visit PACC before the 5:00PM Friday June 13th, 2025 deadline to meet with a counselor who will review notes and introduce you to the dog to ensure that it’s a good fit. Story
If you’re like the majority of Americans (an estimated 66%), you start each day with a hot cuppa coffee. Astoundingly, Americans drink an estimated 400 MILLION cups of coffee each day! Whether you prefer a classic drip, French-pressed, pour-over or instant, we all have the humble coffee bean to thank for our morning pick-me-up. We also happen to have an understated pup named Coffee Bean who can provide a pick-me- up every day! Her volunteer friends love to start their day with Coffee Bean- here`s what one friend had to say:“Coffee Bean is a tender, sweet girl! She was a bit nervous when I first met her at her kennel, but once we got to the play yard she really opened up. She loved to explore by her kennelmate`s side and they had fun running and playing together! She would probably do amazing in a house with a confident furry friend. When her buddy came over to me for pets, she did as well, and we enjoyed a little snuggle time. She’s a doll.” Coffee Bean has shared her kennel politely with other dogs in her time in the shelter and would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. A confident, calm doggy friend may help her to learn the ropes in a new home!We think that if you take a chance on soft-hearted Coffee Bean, you’ll find yourself unable to go a day without her. No caffeine headaches here! Come meet Coffee Bean today!

Story
The Ausky is a cross between an Australian Cattle Dog and a Siberian Husky, both intelligent, active and enduring breeds. The resulting cross is an intelligent and active dog that does best with early socialization and plenty to do.Foster Notes: He was dumped at a local bank by a homeless person. He gets along well with our dogs, is crate trained, potty trained and learning the treadmill very quickly in my mobile dog gym. He’s very playful and smart, food motivated and easy to train.

Story
Meet Tess– A Quiet Soul With a Gentle Heart Tess came from a heartbreaking situation—rescued from a severely overcrowded home where over 20 dogs and puppies were removed after the owner passed away. The chaos scattered her family: three nursing moms and their pups were quickly placed in different locations, when we were asked to step in and help, no one knew what pups belonged to what mom.  We were contacted after the pups were weaned, for help. Since arriving, Tess has shown herself to be a quiet, laid-back young lady. She’s the kind of dog who simply goes with the flow. Tess gets along with every dog she’s met—big or small, young or old. She doesn’t blink an eye at new people, regardless of age or gender. She’s calm, observant, and seems to be quietly processing all the change in her life. Tess is current on vaccine, microchipped and spayed. Tess hasn’t been around cats in our care, but with her easygoing personality, we imagine she’d adjust just fine. She would likely do best in a home with another friendly dog, as she seems to take comfort in canine companionship and finds her confidence in the presence of other dogs. Tess is still figuring things out, but she’s doing it with grace. She would like a peaceful home where she can finally feel safe, loved, and understood. Could you be the soft place Tess has been waiting for?  Please complete an adoption application at www.pathwaysforpaws.com. If she fits your family and lifestyle, you will be contacted within 48 hours. Click HERE for the adoption application ##2433880##
