Story
Meet Max, the fluffiest fluffernut that ever fluffed! He is a strikingly handsome middle-aged shepherd mix with the most sweet and soulful eyes and loving personality. Max wants nothing more than to find his furever snuggle buddy. His volunteer friends absolutely adore him, with one sharing:“Max is super sweet! He was very eager and excited to get out of his kennel and make his way over to a play yard today. Once in the yard, he was a complete and total lover puppy! He wanted to be by my side, on my lap, soliciting pets and snuggles the whole time we were in the yard together. He is very handsome and VERY sweet! This was only my second time meeting him and he acted as if we had been BFFs for years!”Max would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit and will thrive in an active home where he can connect with his people. If you’re looking for a silky-soft, devoted pup to be your loyal companion, Max would love to meet you!

Story
Sweet baby Socks is a boy after our own heart! The shelter is not an ideal living environment for any dog; it’s meant to be a very short-term safe transition place for dogs to go from the streets or former homes into furever homes. It can be noisy and most dogs are in their kennels more than 23 hours per day. Some dogs are able to acclimate to shelter living for a short time; but other pups who are very sensitive struggle to get used to their surroundings. Socks is one such pup and we are super eager for him to get out of the shelter and into a peaceful home with a patient and understanding family so that he can decompress from the shelter stress and come out of his shell. Despite how scared he is, his volunteer friends admire his bravery and see his incredible potential, with one saying the following:“Socks is a little gentle, tender baby who is a bit of a scaredy pup here in the shelter. He was shy but easy to leash up in kennel and he was a good walker. In a play yard he will approach for treats, but he spends most of the time just taking in his surroundings and exploring the play yard. When he comes over to me for treats, I can see in his eyes that he wants to interact with me, but he is just too scared. Loud noises startle him, and so understandably the shelter is a pretty scary place for such a sweet and sensitive baby. He needs outta here!”Socks shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been playful and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. If you’re looking to change a life for good this holiday season, Socks is one worthy pup! Come meet him today!
