Story
I took over care of Nike about 5 years ago when my brother was no longer able to care for him. The Good: He is very smart and the most affectionate dog I've ever had. He knows basic commands like sit and stay. He gives you his undivided attention at all times. He just wants to please you. He loves to play frisbee. I've watched him play with small children after he warms up to them but I wouldn't leave him unsupervised. The Bad: He has a lot of separation anxiety. For the last 5 or 6 years I've never been away from him for more than 12 hours and usually no more than 5 hours at time. The first 5 years he slept in the bed with me but I've sinced trained him to stay off the bed/couch, etc. He has spent most of his time in the house or playing outside. He doesn't know the outside world that well. He doesn't like strangers at first. He is bonded with my other dog Gracie. He is reactive to strangers. Was not exposed to many people or dogs.

Story
🐾 Hi there! I’m Baloo! 🐾 I have been bounced around a lot between families and thankfully a nice rescue group found me and was able to put me into a foster home so I could have consistency. I’m so glad I’m with them because I have a good bed to sleep and as much food and water as I want! 🎉 I may still be a puppy, but I’m nearly full grown, so I’m not likely to get much bigger. My foster mom thinks I’m a mix of Border Collie and Labrador. She also told me that I am the smartest dog she has ever had! I’m pretty adaptable and eager to please, and I love learning new tricks. I’ve been working on some basic commands and just started to learn how to "dance." I am being fostered by a family with three canines that are only 8 lbs and one canine that is 30 lbs. He is super cranky so I leave him alone and stick with the itsy bitsy dogs as they are way more fun and they don’t snap at me. Daily walks are my jam! They keep me happy and active. 🚶‍♀️🐕 Speaking of active, I have seemingly endless energy, but I promise I can settle down and chill too — especially when treats are involved! 🍖 I’m very treat motivated and open to trying any food you throw my way. Slow feeders help make my meals last a little longer. I hope you will reach out to meet me! Love, Baloo 🐾
