Story
Kraine was named because the white blaze on his head looks like a crane doing its mating dance but I'm not sure why the spelling changed. He is 10 months old and is a BC/ something mix. The vet says his personality and behavior is mostly BC.As a long time BC companion, I agree. He is on the active end of the BC spectrum and a very busy boy sometimes. On the other hand, his favorite thing in the world is to lay down with you and just hang. He likes the physical contact. So give him a chance and he'll help you watch TV. He adores people, everyone he sees. He gets on ok with other dogs as long as they aren't pushy, but would probably be better as an only dog. He has no problem with cats. On the other hand, for an adopter, he would be your little shadow in case you were looking for an audience when you go to the bathroom. He just wants to be in contact with his people. He is up to date on everything except being neutered, which we will take care of, or you can and I'll pay for it. He weighs about 35 pounds and I don't expect him to get much bigger. He is very curious and smart and does well in a crate. I really need help finding Kraine a home. He was unexpected. A psychotherapist north of Atlanta was in a shelter when he was being taken back for euthanasia and rescued him at the last minute because he was so friendly. She lives in a neighborhood with an HOA, a neighbor complained, and she was given a deadline to take him back to the shelter, find him a new home, or be forced to sell her house. I already have one foster and this puts me over my limit, but I had a hard time saying no to that story. He is a very good boy, if a bit undisciplined, but smart enough to take training and tremendously treat oriented. His little life has been very unsettled. In 10 months, he has been in one home, then a shelter, then another home and now a third home. He has some separation anxiety and is being medicated for that. However, I leave him crated while at work and, after some initial whining, he settles down and waits for me to get home. What he needs is some stability and I'm sure that will go a long way toward alleviating the anxiety. So far, he just doesn't know that when people leave him, they'll be coming back. The only thing he wants is to be with his people. I crate him at night and he sleeps through as long as he is in the room with me. He's good at letting you know in the morning when he needs to go out, with quiet whining, not loud barking. He is fairly vocal so probably not the best choice for apartment or condo life unless you have very tolerant neighbors. He also growls at his bowl if it doesn't bring him food fast enough. Won't you give Mr. Kraine a chance? He'll be overjoyed every time he sees you. And that boy sure can jump high when he's happy. I do not charge an adoption fee because my purpose is to make the world a better place, one little life at a time. However, I do require a veterinarian reference and a home visit. Depending on distance, the home visit could be virtual.

Story
Hi everybody, this is Hazel—because she has the prettiest, most expressive Hazel eyes.  She is a sweet girl who is both highly alert and intelligent. She gets along well with other dogs but is wary of new people choosing to study them closely before. Her foster mom says that letting people prove that they are trustworthy is a good policy. Hazel is a high-energy dog who is also quite affectionate when given the time and opportunity to bond with deserving people. Toys and playtime are more important to her than treats, so she needs someone who has time to throw a ball for her. She is SO much fun! Hazel is up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped and on prevention.  ##1402505##

Story
Meet Lila, Lila is a sweet and affectionate collie mix, she can be shy at first but warms up quickly, she can be a little weary of quick movements, but loves to lounge on the couch with her Nylabone. Lila is a collie mix and does have a high prey drive when playing. She would love a doggy friend more her size. Lila loves to go swimming and play in a plastic kiddie pool. She is crate and leash trained. Could make an active person a great running partner. If you are interested in adopting Lila please submit an application.

Story
Name: Dot aka Koda (Nicknames - Koda Nick or Koda Bear)Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler/Chow Chow MixSex/Age/Weight: Female/DOB 11-29-20/55 lbs.Vetting: Spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative and on preventatives.House/Crate Trained: Yes/Yes. Koda loves her crate! When it comes to nap time or settling in for the evening Koda goes right in for a snooze.Dogs/Cats/Children: Yes/No/Yes. Koda does very well with medium to large sized dogs and has two furry siblings she loves to wrestle with. She is not comfortable with smaller dogs and cats so it is best that she be the one and only or have a medium to large size dog to hang out with. She loves children of all ages especially when she can cuddle up with them and get belly rubs.Training: Koda is working on her commands and manners. She knows sit, down, and paw, and walks great on a leash. She will need someone to continue to train her so she can be the best girl for you!Working on: Koda is quite the snuggle bunny and sometimes thinks she is a lap dog. She is learning that you can cuddle with your humans without sitting on their lap. She can be vocal about things she wants - dinner, attention, etc., She is an American Idol in the making and is in the process of learning to sing silently and will need someone to continue teaching her it is okay to sing to yourself. Koda has trust issues when it comes to dinner time and prefers to enjoy her meal in her crate. Her foster family is slowly introducing her to others at meal time. Things I like: People! She loves to be around her humans. Snuggling up with them is one of her favorite pastimes. When she is not cuddling up, you will find her playing and running around in the backyard with her siblings or having fun time in the water.Things I don’t like: Being alone or ignored for long periods of time. Koda would love someone who works from home or who is only gone from home for short periods of time. As much as she loves playing in the water, bath time is not her favorite. She doesn’t understand it helps keep her beautiful coat from shedding so much. She will need a daily brushing to help with her shedding as well. Ideal home: Koda would do best where she can get lots of exercise, play time, and attention. A family who has time to be committed to her would be best, preferably with a backyard where she she could hang out with a furry sibling (medium to large sized dogs only). If you are interested in giving Dot aka Koda a forever home, please visit the link below to fill out an application! http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html It is best to submit an application through a computer.
