Story
Hi everybody, this is Hazel—because she has the prettiest, most expressive Hazel eyes.  She is a sweet girl who is both highly alert and intelligent. She gets along well with other dogs but is wary of new people choosing to study them closely before. Her foster mom says that letting people prove that they are trustworthy is a good policy. Hazel is a high-energy dog who is also quite affectionate when given the time and opportunity to bond with deserving people. Toys and playtime are more important to her than treats, so she needs someone who has time to throw a ball for her. She is SO much fun! Hazel is up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped and on prevention.  ##1402505##

Story
Asher is a rescue pup as the litter she was in was found abandoned in a shed by an elderly woman (my Mom) home. She was taken in but unfortunately, we are starting to feel as if we aren’t able to give her all she needs (attention/time/ commitment). Im looking for someone thats in need of a companion to become apart of their family. She is very loved and this is an extremely tough decision. We hope that she finds a genuine, loving, caring, forever home specifically with kids she can play with. We miss her already.

Story
Nyla was abandoned. I have been trying to take care of her for the past few months; but I live in a travel trailer, work two jobs (meaning she does not get all the exercise time or attention that a puppy needs) and have a smaller older dog that isn’t able to play. Nyla is about 9 months old. Sweet. Likes to play. Is crate trained. My parents tried to help but they have older dogs and those dogs don’t care for her. I will make a donation for toward spay fee.

Story
Meet Bellz! 🐾 Bellz is an 11-month-old Border Collie with a spunky personality, a loyal heart, and brains for days. True to her breed, she is incredibly smart and highly food motivated, which makes her a great candidate for continued training. She is crate trained and mostly house trained, and she gets along wonderfully with other dogs—especially if they’re ready to play! This girl lives for fun. Bellz will happily play fetch all day long and is especially talented at catching a bouncing tennis ball mid-air. Once she’s comfortable, her energetic and playful side really shines. Bellz can be a very shy at first. New people and environments make her nervous, and she will slink low to the ground and stick very close to the person she trusts most. But don’t let that fool you—she is incredibly loving to her people. She just needs a little time, patience, and reassurance to build confidence for you to be that person. She is wary of strangers and she will warn you if a stranger approaches your home. Your space is her space after all. She would thrive with an owner who is committed to continuing to work on her socialization and with taking her to new places with lots of positive interactions. She enjoys going to new locations with her people and she thrives with training! Because of her sensitive nature, Bellz would do best with a dog-savvy family, ideally someone familiar with herding breeds. She will need a securely fenced yard where she can safely run, play, and burn off her energy. She is still working on her leash skills and does best in calmer, controlled environments with someone she trusts. Bellz LOVES kids and gives the best kisses! Once Bellz bonds with you, she bonds hard. She’ll want to be as close as physically possible—curled up beside you, pressed against you, or gazing deeply into your eyes with her intense (and slightly hilarious) Border Collie stare. It may be a little unnerving at first, but it’s pure love. Bellz weighs about 45 pounds and is nearly full grown. We’re unsure how she does with cats. Bellz came from a home where she had some early socialization but then spent much of her time outdoors without continued exposure. Because of this, she’s looking for a patient, committed family who will help her continue to grow into the amazing dog she’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a fun, loyal, and deeply devoted companion—and you have the time and experience to help her thrive—Bellz just might be your perfect match. If you’re looking for a gentle, food-loving corgi who will reward your patience with devotion and cuddles, Ana might be your perfect match. Story
Kraine was named because the white blaze on his head looks like a crane doing its mating dance but I'm not sure why the spelling changed. He is 10 months old and is a BC/ something mix. The vet says his personality and behavior is mostly BC.As a long time BC companion, I agree. He is on the active end of the BC spectrum and a very busy boy sometimes. On the other hand, his favorite thing in the world is to lay down with you and just hang. He likes the physical contact. So give him a chance and he'll help you watch TV. He adores people, everyone he sees. He gets on ok with other dogs as long as they aren't pushy, but would probably be better as an only dog. He has no problem with cats. On the other hand, for an adopter, he would be your little shadow in case you were looking for an audience when you go to the bathroom. He just wants to be in contact with his people. He is up to date on everything except being neutered, which we will take care of, or you can and I'll pay for it. He weighs about 35 pounds and I don't expect him to get much bigger. He is very curious and smart and does well in a crate. I really need help finding Kraine a home. He was unexpected. A psychotherapist north of Atlanta was in a shelter when he was being taken back for euthanasia and rescued him at the last minute because he was so friendly. She lives in a neighborhood with an HOA, a neighbor complained, and she was given a deadline to take him back to the shelter, find him a new home, or be forced to sell her house. I already have one foster and this puts me over my limit, but I had a hard time saying no to that story. He is a very good boy, if a bit undisciplined, but smart enough to take training and tremendously treat oriented. His little life has been very unsettled. In 10 months, he has been in one home, then a shelter, then another home and now a third home. He has some separation anxiety and is being medicated for that. However, I leave him crated while at work and, after some initial whining, he settles down and waits for me to get home. What he needs is some stability and I'm sure that will go a long way toward alleviating the anxiety. So far, he just doesn't know that when people leave him, they'll be coming back. The only thing he wants is to be with his people. I crate him at night and he sleeps through as long as he is in the room with me. He's good at letting you know in the morning when he needs to go out, with quiet whining, not loud barking. He is fairly vocal so probably not the best choice for apartment or condo life unless you have very tolerant neighbors. He also growls at his bowl if it doesn't bring him food fast enough. Won't you give Mr. Kraine a chance? He'll be overjoyed every time he sees you. And that boy sure can jump high when he's happy. I do not charge an adoption fee because my purpose is to make the world a better place, one little life at a time. However, I do require a veterinarian reference and a home visit. Depending on distance, the home visit could be virtual.
