About 1 year old • Plymouth, IN Toby is an adorable young Border Collie mix with a heart full of love and a toy box full of favorites! This boy lives for toys — toss one, squeak one, crinkle one, and he’s instantly your biggest fan. He rides beautifully in the car, enjoys daycare, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He’ll happily chase the foster’s cat for fun, but he’s never shown any intent to harm. Toby can get overwhelmed in new environments and is suspicious of strangers at first — but once he feels safe, he becomes incredibly affectionate, silly, and totally himself. In places he knows, he’s a very normal, happy, fun dog. Toby’s Highlights LOVES toys — seriously, they’re his love language Great with other dogs Rides well in the car Cat-curious but harmless Very affectionate once comfortable Enjoys daycare and is social there Needs time and patience in new environments If you’re looking for a sweet, sensitive, toy-loving boy who will adore you once he trusts you, Toby might just be your perfect match.   Fostered in Plymouth, IN   Please contact stephodellbc@hotmail.com if you have any questions about Toby.  You can complete an application to adopt Toby or any of the dogs on our website at www.comebyebcrescue.org .    ***  The potential adopter will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that it’s not a good match for the dog and the dog for them, if we do not process their application.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 9, 2026, 1:36 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Slick is an adult Border Collie whose owner is faced with reducing the number of dogs she has, and so Slick is looking for a forever home.  His owner describes him: "Meet Slick, Slick is an incredible dog with so much love to give. He has a wonderful temperament and gets along beautifully with both dogs and cats. He has an impressive recall, enjoys being with his people, and is the kind of companion who settles into family life with ease. Slick is neutered, fully treated for heartworm, and is now heartworm negative. He has overcome that challenge and is healthy, ready to enjoy the life he deserves. Making the decision to seek a new home for Slick has been one of the hardest choices I've ever had to make. I care about him deeply and never wanted to rehome him. However, as I prepare to move out of my parents' home, I've had to face the reality that I simply have more dogs than I can realistically provide the time, attention, and resources each one deserves. Slick is not being rehomed because of any behavioral issues. He is a wonderful dog who has done absolutely nothing wrong. This decision comes solely from wanting what is best for him. He deserves a family that can give him more one-on-one attention, adventures, and the kind of life that is difficult for me to provide with so many dogs in my care. I am trying everything I can to find him the right placement before it ever comes to that. My hope is that he can find a loving home where he will be cherished as much as he is now, with the opportunity to truly thrive. This is a decision made entirely out of love. More than anything, I want Slick to have the life he deserves." NOTE: Slick will need a patient home that can help with his housetraining issues. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. The Center for Animal Rescue and Enrichment (CARE) of St Louis MO is seeking a forever home for Nancy Drew, a young BC mix who has been in their shelter since last September when she was picked up stray in the St Louis area. Nancy is a sweet young dog who is in need of a home where dog behavior is understood and she can receive the training she needs.  Her puppy behaviors of jumping and barking can be managed and the sooner she is adopted and out of the shelter, the sooner that positive training can begin, which will allow Nancy to be the friendly youngster that the shelter workers know. Because of her shelter environment, some things are not known about Nancy:  how she rides in a car, how she behaves around children, etc.  However, her overall personality is that of a dog who wants to learn things and be with people.   If you want to know more about Nancy Drew or make an appointment to meet her, please contact CARE St Louis at adopt@icarestl.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2026, 2:31 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Snickers is a resident in the Campbell County (TN) Animal Center, and the staff at the Center are seeking a foster or permanent home for him, as he is stressed in the shelter environment.   If you are interested in Snickers, please contact the Animal Center through their website or at the phone number given below.  Here is what they say about Snickers, a young BC/Aussie mix: Do you need a little Snickers in your life?? A yummy nougat encased in creamy chocolate to “make you feel you” as the famous advertisement states. This wonderful boy is a Aussie border collie mix. He is approximately 3 years old and weighs 60 pounds. Snickers has the kindest eyes that will melt your heart. To be honest he is struggling in the shelter. Although he is safe, knows he has delicious meals served daily and daily walks he would benefit greatly being in a foster or permanent home. Snickers is a fluffy black and white male, with white front legs and black back legs. He is very smart and is craving to be mentally and physically challenged. His breed mix desires to be trained, given commands and lots of mental stimulus. The shelter is a very loud and is over capacity so he is fearful of his current situation. Each day he improves and when he goes outside for his walks he does a cute little trot of a dance to celebrate. Snickers tail is the short stub that wiggles when he is outside smelling everything Mother Nature has to offer. So what does Snickers need?? A loving patient family that will allow him to relax and trust humans. He would enjoy a bubble bath and a nice brushing to make his black and white coat shine. Snickers is food motivated so his training will be fun and engaging for his new partner. So come in and meet this precious soul and let your heart melt with his sugary sweetness.   The Campbell County Animal Shelter adoption center is open Tuesday - Saturday, 12:00 - 5:30 PM at 749 Towe String Road, Jacksboro, TN 37757   Phone: 423-566-8018   Adoption applications can also be completed online at fccanimals.org  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 9, 2026, 1:36 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact stephodellbc@hotmail.com for more information about this pet. Meet Crimson Crimson is a 4-year-old Mini Aussie × Border Collie mix who’s as beautiful as she is complex. She can be very suspicious of unfamiliar people and will need a calm, patient, and dog-savvy adopter who understands how to build trust slowly and gently. Crimson still shows some behaviors that reflect her uncertain past and can act a bit like a feral dog at times—she’s cautious, easily startled, and unsure how to respond to new people or environments. But once she decides you’re one of “her people,” her loyalty and affection shine through. She absolutely adores those she trusts. She is a flight risk and will require a securely fenced yard. Crimson is crate-trained and house-trained, and she gets along wonderfully with other dogs and even cats. She will thrive in a secure environment with a fenced yard and a patient human who understands her need for a little extra time to adjust. Crimson is searching for a special person who will give her the patience, stability, and love she needs to feel secure. Once she knows she can trust you, she’ll show you just how affectionate and devoted she can be. Open your heart to this gorgeous girl, and you’ll gain a loyal companion who will fill your home with quiet joy and unwavering love. Fostered in Plymouth, IN Please contact stephodellbc@hotmail.com if you have any questions about Crimson.  You can complete an application to adopt Crimson or any of the dogs on our website at www.comebyebcrescue.org .    *** The potential adopter will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that it’s not a good match for the dog and the dog for them, if we do not process their application.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2026, 2:31 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact stephodellbc@hotmail.com for more information about this pet.  Maeve Fostered in Plymouth, IN ~2 Years Old | Smooth Coat BC × ACD Mix Maeve is a striking black-and-white girl you can’t help but notice. Maeve is a soft, thoughtful dog. She can be cautious with new faces at first, but she warms up with a little time and space. Once she feels safe, she’s affectionate, loyal, and loves being close to her person. A 45-minute car ride would most likely be enough time for Maeve to become comfortable with someone. She may always be a bit suspicious of unfamiliar people, but she settles in quickly and does very well once she knows you. She’s crate trained and housetrained, rides nicely in the car, and does well with other dogs (especially calmer companions). She’s an easy dog to live with once she understands her environment. She’s also great for handling — fine with baths, nail trims, and being touched all over once she’s comfortable. Maeve has a strong instinct to chase squirrels and may rush toward unfamiliar people, so a secure, fenced yard will be important to keep her safe and help prevent unwanted situations. Maeve at a glance: • Beautiful black & white coat — total eye candy • Crate trained & housetrained • Cautious with new people, but warms up reliably • Affectionate and loyal once she knows you • Good with other dogs (prefers calmer companions) • Rides well in the car • Needs a home with a secure, physical fenced yard • Has not been tested with children Maeve will do best in a patient home that lets her settle in at her own pace. Once she does, she’s an easy, devoted companion and a really special dog to have by your side. Please contact  stephodellbc@hotmail.com if you have any questions about Maeve.  You can complete an application to adopt Maeve or any of the dogs on our website at  www.comebyebcrescue.org  .    *** The potential adopter  will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that it’s not a good match for the dog and the dog for them, if we do not process their application.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 9, 2026, 1:36 pm
