Dotti is a collie, Aussie mix. She is approximately 3/4 years old. She won’t get any bigger than she is and she’s around 20lbs. Very dog selective, does ok with cats. Super sweet girl who loves to be outside running. She gets the zoomies and she’s gone. She also loves to be cuddled up with you while inside. Could she join your adventures?! Meet Archie!Archie is a 5-year-old full-blooded Australian Shepherd who has spent his entire life with one family. Coming to the shelter has been a huge change for him, and he is understandably confused and missing the people and home he knew.Archie is looking for a quiet, adult-only home with minimal traffic where he can settle in at his own pace and feel secure again. He has done well with the other dogs here at the shelter, though we do not yet know how he feels about cats.One thing we do know for sure: Archie LOVES water. His favorite part of shelter life is splashing around in his kiddie pool, and he would probably be very happy in a home where water play can continue to be part of his routine.He also does great for the groomer, which is definitely a bonus for an Australian Shepherd with that beautiful coat who will require regular grooming.Archie is not looking for a busy household or a constant stream of visitors. He needs a calm, predictable home with adults who understand that losing everything familiar can be overwhelming and who are willing to give him the time and space he needs to settle in. No children for this handsome guy.For the right home, Archie has the chance to trade confusion and uncertainty for something familiar again: safety, routine, and people of his own. He is fully housetrained, but settling into a new routine can sometimes require a little time to adjust.His adoption fee is $200 and he comes neutered, current on yearly vaccines, heartworm tested negative, and microchipped. Border Collie/Australian Shepherd Mix — Male, 2 Years Old Mongo is a beautiful red-and-white Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix weighing about 55 pounds. He was found roaming in Batesville, Indiana and picked up as a stray, so we don’t know much about his past. What we do know is that he’s social, affectionate, and eager to connect with both people and animals. Mongo is very interested in other dogs and cats and has not shown any aggression toward them. He is friendly with new people, adults, and children, and he loves attention. Because he doesn’t always realize his size and is prone to jumping up on people, he will need continued work on manners. For now, he may be best suited to families without very young children or older/frail individuals who could be knocked over. His energy level is moderate-high, but he still benefits from regular exercise and structure. He enjoys walks, is good on a leash, and does best with several outings a day to run off some energy. Mongo is crate trained, still learning his house manners, and shows a lot of potential as he continues adjusting to home life.
