Size

Story
In February 2022, Beauties received a report of a momma dog and 7 newborn puppies in a tiny kennel by a dumpster. Brynne was scared and protective of her family, naturally, but our team was able to get them to safety. Sadly, 2 of the babies had already perished by the time we got the report but the rest survived and found homes long ago. However, Brynne is still looking for a place of her own! She is a good girl who needs a strong leader who can help guide her. She can be a little slow to trust new people but once she does, she is very sweet and playful! She is vocal so no apartment-type living arrangements for her. Brynne is active and does great in doggy daycare. She is getting better on leash. She may bark at some people and vehicles while on walks, and gets anxious / impatient in certain situations especially if she has to wait somewhere. Boarding has been great for exposing her to new people and situations but we look forward to getting her back into a home where she can continue to grow.

Story
I have a lab/ border collie cross that I need to find a home for. She is almost a year old, spayed and microchipped. I used to do search and rescue work with my dogs. I lost my HRD dog in December and two days later lost my husband of 44 years, then in February I lost my live find area search dog. I thought the new puppy would be a comfort but it has turned out to be a different story. I’m 72 years old and simply don’t have the energy I thought I had, and find that I need for her. She is good with other dogs & cats, she will bark at mine and chew on him until the cat says enough. My grandkids are all under 12, noise is not a problem. She knows sit and wait. She has to sit quietly if she wants pets, or to be fed. I got her when she was about 4 mos old. She had been raised in a barn, unsocialized, and skin and bones. Within the first week I knew I was over my head but I couldn’t send her back. I find though I don’t have the energy, or desire, to train her. Can you help?

Story
Adele is a sweet loving 3 year old. She enjoys going on walks, playing fetch and cuddling. Adele loves everyone she meets. She is potty trained and really good in the house while being left alone. Very good on a leash. She minds well and listens to simple commands such as sit and lay down. Fully crate trained, doesnt bark unless there are squirrel around or stranger knocking on the door. The ONLY reason I have to rehome her is due to my very busy work schedule I want her to find a home with a loving owner who can give her the attention she deserves.

These pups are in Wichita, Kansas too!

Story
Yuki is 4 years old. She is very happy go lucky but is also well behaved. She knows commands like sit, stay, shake, and fetch and never barks inside. She loves everything and everyone. She is goofy and sassy. She is easily excitable but will also calm down immediately if you tell her too. She does not get on furniture as long as you set that boundary. She does not chew anything up. I do not even own a kennel. She is a sweet dog and deserves more attention than I can give her. I live in an apartment and just had a baby 3 weeks ago. I had not been able to give her the time she deserved throughout my pregnancy and I am seeing that its not going to change anytime soon. I love her but I want her to be happy and well taken care of. If you did adopt her I am sure that you would love her too but if for any reason it did not work out I would be happy to take her back and try to find another home. I do not want her taken somewhere to be put down.

Story
Hi there I’m Nandor! I'm a shy, mellow guy but I absolutely LOVE to run around the backyard and play with the other doggie here. I need a little time to warm up to new people, but I promise I'll reward your patience with lots of love and affection. I would do best in a laidback, child-free home because sudden movements scare me. My kennel is where I feel most safe and comfortable. I'm crate-trained and ready to find the safe, loving furever home I truly deserve. To meet sweet, mellow me go to WAALrescue.org/adopt and fill out an application.
