Otis is a very sweet and social dog. He is fully house-trained and a true “latch dog,” happiest when spending time by your side. Otis can be very reactive with other dogs and small children, so he would do best in an environment without them. While his reactivity makes him a bit intense at times, he is not dangerous at all! We feel like he just feels more secure with space and routine. He also isn’t a good match for homes with cats or any other small animal. With the right setting, Otis will be a devoted and loving companion. He could possibly be trained to be around other dogs over time if thats something you’re willing to take the time to do. Ive owned this sweet girl since she was 6 weeks old and had her for a very long time. I went through a divorce and my ex kept her but due to his housing situation he brought her to me instead of a kill shelter and I have other pets and she has attacked them and due to that I have tl rehome her. I hate to but she came last and last in first out unfortunately. I have tried to make her an outside dog and she doesn't do a pen as she loves to be in bed with you and has always been an inside baby. She loves to cuddle and very friendly (other than her bark) which sounds vicious but truly is NOT! She would be amazing in a home with an elderly who needs a companion or someone who works with dogs and has time to train em and walk em a lot. She loves to take walks (with a training collar).

I know a whole lot of tricks. The only one I haven’t figured out yet? How to get someone to take me home. Hi, I’m Cosmo! I’m a smart, people-loving guy who already has quite the résumé. I know sit, shake, lay down, stand, heel, and leave it—and I’m always happy to show off what I know. There is, however, a belly-rub tax associated with spending time with me. I don’t make the rules. Shelter life can be a lot for a dog like me. There’s constant noise, activity, people coming and going, and other dogs everywhere. Sometimes that environment makes it harder to see the sweet, incredibly lovable dog underneath all that stimulation. Give me some one-on-one time and you’ll meet a dog who bonds with his people, loves attention, enjoys working with you, and has so much potential. I already have an amazing foundation—I just need someone willing to give me consistency, structure, and chance to settle into life outside of the shelter. I would do best as the only dog in my home, and I know that makes my perfect match a little harder to find. But being your one and only just means I’m prepared to take my position as your best friend very seriously. I have already learned sit, shake, down, stand, heel, and leave it.
