Story
Every litter seems to have that one puppy who steals the spotlight. The one who walks into the room like he already knows he’s special. In this trio of brothers, that boy is Snoopy Dog. In fact, the foster dad caring for these puppies doesn’t even try to hide it—he says Snoopy Dog is his favorite. And once you meet him, it’s easy to see why. Snoopy Dog is a strikingly handsome puppy with the cutest nose freckles you’ve ever seen and a perfect black-spotted mask over both eyes. His body is almost entirely snowy white with just a few round spots scattered here and there, giving him a unique look that turns heads wherever he goes. And while we were told the puppies’ mom was a Border Collie, Snoopy’s soft Lab-like ears have decided they are staying exactly where they are—flopped down and adorable, never standing up like a traditional Border Collie’s. Looks aside, this boy has the personality to match. Snoopy Dog is the brains of the brother trio. His foster family quickly noticed that he is the sharpest thinker of the bunch, always the first to figure things out and the first to try something new. He’s curious, funny, confident, and clearly aware that he’s both smart and handsome.   Snoopy Dog came into the care of Critter Cavalry Rescue along with his two brothers after a Facebook post surfaced about a rural Tennessee family that was simply “giving away” the puppies. Situations like that can be risky, and we knew these boys deserved a safer path to their future. CCR stepped in to make sure they would be raised in loving foster homes where they could receive proper veterinary care, guidance, and lots of attention. Since arriving in rescue, Snoopy Dog has received everything he needs to start life off right—neutering, worming treatments, his puppy vaccinations including parvo and distemper, rabies vaccine, microchip, and a clean bill of health. He’s also been busy learning how to be a wonderful house dog. Snoopy Dog already uses the doggie door and is fully housebroken, which is impressive for such a young puppy. At just about 10 weeks old, he already weighs around 15 pounds, and we expect he will grow into a handsome 50-pound adult. This boy is playful, energetic, and ready to explore the world. He enjoys playing with his brothers, meeting people, and discovering new things. He is currently living with a cat and has shown wonderful manners, learning to respect the cat’s space and understanding that sometimes the cat simply isn’t interested in puppy games.   Soon it will be time for Snoopy Dog to leave the nest. Around March 27th he will be ready to say goodbye to his brothers and begin a brand-new chapter with a loving, active family. A fenced yard would be ideal for this curious and playful boy, along with a family ready to continue teaching him routines, manners, and all the adventures that come with being part of a family. Snoopy Dog is smart, charming, and full of personality. He’s ready to bring laughter, fun, and plenty of love into the home lucky enough to adopt him.   If you’re interested in welcoming Snoopy Dog into your family, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. He could be riding the transport van the last weekend of March and heading straight toward his forever home—maybe with you.    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 11, 2026, 12:09 am

Story
Sometimes a puppy comes along who doesn’t have to do much to steal your heart. All it takes is one look—those soft green eyes gazing up at you—and you know exactly what he’s asking. “Please pick me up.” And that is how everyone falls in love with Bleu. This special male puppy is a beautiful chocolate-and-white Border Collie mix puppy with a gentle nature and a talent for charming every human he meets. He may still be young, but he already knows how to work a room with his sweet face and calm, affectionate personality. Bleu is one of three brothers—along with Zane and Snoop Dog—who came into the care of Critter Cavalry Rescue after their story appeared in a Facebook post. A rural Tennessee family was simply giving the puppies away, and situations like that can quickly lead to unsafe futures. CCR stepped in to ensure these boys would instead have the chance to grow up safe, healthy, and well-loved.   Since arriving in rescue, the puppies have been raised in foster homes where they receive medical care, guidance, structure, and plenty of affection. We like to call it our Puppy Kingdom—a place where puppies learn routines, social skills, and what it means to be part of a loving home. Born around the first of January, Bleu is getting close to the age when he will be ready to leave the nest. Soon he will say goodbye to his brothers and the foster family who has cared for him so lovingly, and begin the next chapter with a family of his very own. Bleu is the quiet observer of the trio. He’s the smallest brother by about a pound, but his personality is wonderfully unique. While his siblings may jump into everything first, Bleu prefers to watch, think, and then join in. He loves to lounge nearby, soaking in the world around him, before suddenly launching into playful zoomies. He’s also the most talkative of the group in the sweetest way. Bleu expresses himself with little groans, soft barks, and gentle whines when something surprises him—like getting a vaccination. His foster family lovingly calls him their “sensitive boy,” because he simply feels things deeply and bonds closely with the people around him. Bleu has already done an excellent job learning the doggie door and is doing very well with potty training. He’s a thoughtful learner who just needs a family willing to continue teaching and encouraging him as he grows. All three brothers are incredibly social and affectionate. They love meeting people, enjoy other dogs, and even share their home with a confident orange tabby cat who clearly runs the household. The puppies have learned to treat their feline roommate with great respect. Bleu is sweet, charming, and full of potential. We are hoping to find an active home—especially one familiar with Border Collies—that will appreciate his thoughtful personality and give him the love, activity, and companionship he deserves.   He will be ready to travel from Nashville to the Northeast on March 28th to meet his forever family. If Bleu has already captured your heart, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to learn more about adopting him.

Story
Meet Mary! 🖤🐾 Mary is a beautiful 2-year-old Border Collie who was surrendered in the South and is getting ready for her fresh start. She will be making the journey north to Maine on March 15th, and she cannot wait to find a family to call her own. Mary is full of love, personality, and fun. She’s a gentle girl with the sweetest nature and will happily roll right over for daily belly rubs—it’s one of her favorite things! She loves spending time with her people and enjoys being active, whether it’s going for walks, running around outside, or exploring new places. Currently about 60 pounds, Mary is a little on the “thick” side and will benefit from a family who can help her get back into shape with regular exercise and activity. Luckily, Border Collies love to stay busy, and Mary is ready to get moving with her future family. She will arrive spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped—all ready for her new life. Mary is a gentle, loving girl just waiting for someone to see how special she is. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will shower you with love (and ask for plenty of belly rubs), Mary might just be your perfect match. 💕🐶
