Story
Rex is a young dog who has already lived a lifetime’s worth of hardship—and somehow came out the other side with a gentle soul and an open heart. For much of his first year, Rex lived tied out in the woods with a homeless couple, missing out on everything a puppy should know: safety, structure, and the comfort of belonging. Now, at just barely one year old, he’s finally getting his chance at having a good life that does not include a tieout and living in the woods homeless.    This handsome Corgi mix weighs 25 pounds, with a compact, active build and a few healthy pounds still to gain. He sports the most expressive upright ears, short Corgi legs, a long body, and a gorgeous, fluffy tail reminiscent of a Border Collie. His coat is soft and flowing, and his energy is joyful and contagious once he feels safe. Rex is friendly with other dogs and naturally polite in his interactions. When meeting new people, he approaches gently with a submissive posture, ears back at first—then slowly lifting as his confidence grows. He’s still learning how to walk on a leash and is being introduced to basic commands and manners for the very first time and he’s proving to be a quick learner who genuinely wants to please. Because Rex missed out on early training, he will need an adopter who understands young dogs and enjoys helping one grow into his potential. With consistency and positive guidance, Rex could shine in agility, flyball, or other interactive dog sports. More than anything, he’s a dog who wants to work with his person and be part of a family.  Rex is ready to leave survival behind and step into a life filled with love, guidance, and belonging. If you’re looking for a loyal, family-oriented dog and are willing to help shape his future, Rex may be the one you’ve been waiting for.   To learn more about adopting Rex, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 19, 2026, 12:17 am

Story
If you’re looking for brilliance wrapped in freckles and puppy kisses, meet Zane. Born around January 3rd, this spunky little Border Collie mix is already proving he’s at the top of his class. Zane doesn’t just learn — he excels. While most puppies are still figuring things out, this bright boy is already heading to the back door to politely alert his foster mom when he needs to go potty. House training graduation? Just a week or two away. We have no doubt he’ll earn that diploma with honors. Zane is one-third of what we lovingly call the Three Amigos — along with his brothers Bleu and Snoopy. Together, they are a whirlwind of freckled faces, tumbling paws, and pure joy. Wrestling? Mastered. Running and jumping? Conquered. Backyard zoomies? Olympic level. But when the play session winds down and the excitement fades, Zane reveals his softer side. He seeks out his foster mom, curls up beside her, and sleeps peacefully for hours. For all his energy and intelligence, he is deeply affectionate and thrives on connection. He currently sleeps in a kennel with his brothers and is doing beautifully with structure and routine. Zane is the kind of puppy who will flourish with an active, engaged family that understands the needs of a smart working-breed mix. He will need consistency, continued training, and ideally a safe, secure fenced yard where he can stretch those athletic legs and put that sharp mind to good use. The “School of Love” may be his favorite class of all. Snuggles? Perfect attendance. Kisses and hugs? Straight A’s. Cozy naps next to his warm human? Advanced placement. Zane bonds deeply and will give his whole heart to his person. At an estimated 45 pounds full grown, he will be the perfect size for adventures by day and couch time by night. Zane isn’t just a cute puppy. He’s a smart, devoted future companion who will grow into an incredible dog for the right family. If you are ready for commitment, activity, laughter, and a loyal best friend, Zane is ready for you. Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you’re interested. 🧨 ✨ Meet This Little Firecracker Astra✨ 🧨 Bouncy. Playful. Learning the ropes — and stealing hearts along the way. Astra is a joyful, typical puppy full of bounce, curiosity, and happy energy. She loves to play with the other dogs and is learning how to read their cues (enthusiastically — puppy life! 😄). She’s doing wonderfully with crate and potty training and will even wait by the back door when she needs to go out. Accidents are minimal! At night, Astra sleeps in her crate and only lets out a little whine when she truly needs a potty break. Once Astra’s puppy zoomies finally settle she turns into a total snuggle bug — especially if she has a chew toy nearby and a lap to lay on! Astra is not just cute — she’s growing, learning, and becoming a wonderful companion right before our eyes. She’ll thrive in a home ready for puppy energy, consistency, and lots of love. If you’re looking for a playful pup with a cuddly heart, Astra is the perfect match 💖 Don’t wait apply to adopt Astra today! https://pprorg.com/adopt Adoption fee is $475 If you do not hear from us within 7 days please email passion4petsrescue@gmail.com

Story
Bodhi is a deeply loyal, intelligent, and affectionate dog who forms a strong bond with his person. In calm, predictable environments, he is attentive, loving, and happiest simply being near those he trusts. He thrives on routine, structure, and clear communication, and when those needs are met, his devoted nature truly shines. One of his favorite things is playing ball outdoors, where he can run, focus, and just be a dog. Bodhi has worked extensively with professional trainers and has received consistent structure and medical support to help manage anxiety. While he has made progress, he does best in a quieter, low-stimulus home with clear expectations and steady daily life. This decision was made with great care, love, and responsibility. Bodhi is not a “project” dog—he is a good dog who needs the right environment to feel safe and succeed. In the right home, with an experienced and patient owner who values calm leadership, he has the potential to be an incredibly loyal companion.

Story
Tink’s story didn’t begin the way any young dog’s should — but we believe her best chapter is still waiting to be written very soon now that she is in the care of Critter Cavalry Rescue.  At just two years old, this striking blue-eyed Australian Shepherd girl has already experienced motherhood and heartbreak. She gave birth to a litter of puppies on Thanksgiving Day, nurturing them with devotion. But by Valentine’s weekend, her own world changed. When her owner suffered a stroke and was hospitalized in ICU, Tink was left confined inside a camper for four long days, alone and unsure. It would be understandable if that experience made her fearful or withdrawn. Instead, Tink emerged gentle, loving, and incredibly devoted to people. Currently weighing 38 pounds (and needing about five more to reach her ideal weight), Tink is a petite Aussie with a soft and gentle temperament and a playful streak. She absolutely adores children and has a naturally sweet, careful way about her. She loves playing fetch, going on walks, and burning off her energy in a securely fenced yard — which is a must for this active, intelligent breed.   Tink is mostly housebroken and simply needs the consistency of a routine. She does well in a crate and walks nicely on leash. We are currently evaluating her with other submissive dogs, as a recent attempt to pair her with a strong alpha female was not a good fit — which is understandable after all she’s been through. She may truly shine as the center of someone’s world. Tink has proven she is resilient. She has proven she is loving. Now she just needs someone who will prove to her that she will never be left behind again. If you feel your home might be the safe and steady future this beautiful girl deserves, please email Critter Cavalry at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and tell us your city and state. Tink is ready to begin again — this time, forever.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 23, 2026, 9:26 pm

Story
Stella is a friendly and intelligent dog with plenty of energy. We want her to be happy and have a space where she can run around and play with other dogs. Previously, Stella lived in the mountains of Colorado, where she enjoyed a large fenced yard and had lots of friends to play with. Now, she is living in a townhouse without a yard, which has been challenging for her. As a very active young lady, she is currently feeling unhappy. Stella is a mix of Australian Cattle Dog, Husky, German Shepherd, and Golden Retriever, and she is expected to weigh around 30 pounds. She is a loving and eager-to-learn dog who picks up new skills quickly. Stella would be an amazing agility dog, as this would engage both her mind and her need for physical activity. If agility training isn't your interest, she would also thrive in an active lifestyle with an avid walker, hiker, or runner.  Stella is a very quick learner and was immediately fully potty trained.     To ensure the best for Stella, her new owners should have a yard or live on a farm, and it would be great if they have another dog and children.  Stella has plenty of energy to add playing at home to her list of activities.    Stella has been spayed and is current on all her shots until May 2026.  To be considered for her forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Stella is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)  July 30, 2025, 9:47 pm
