Story
Mojo was found as a stray and we made every effort to find his owners but to no avail. He is an Aussie mix and of course with the breed comes high activity. I will say that he loves his down time though! He is NOT an apartment dog. He needs a good sized fenced yard. He is not great in a crowd of dogs but will do well with a sister or brother to play with. He hasn't been tested with cats so we don't know about that. The vet believes his age to be about 6 years. He's neutered, vaccinated, crate trained and heart worm negative. He is more than ready for his forever home! ADOPTION FEE $400 PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION!

Story
This precious girl came from one of the worst hoarding situations that we have ever dealt with. there were over 100 dogs on the property, none of them spayed or neutered. Finally, the authorities went in and they managed to get ALL of the dogs out of there. Filthy dirty situation, sick puppies, you name it. We choose to take Blossom home to our rescue because her eyes were begging us for love and attention. She was very pregnant and two weeks after arriving, she gave birth to 7 heathy puppies! Every single puppy was different, every singe puppy had a different daddy! We think that Blossom had never been paid any attention to because she was so shy. Once we weaned her babies we took her out of the nursery and into the house where she just blossomed! That's how she got her name! Her puppies have long since been adopted and now it's her turn. We actually did a DNA on her and it came back with 4 different breeds, which we kind of figured from the beginning. Australian Cattle Dog, Labrador Retriever, Pit Bull, Boxer. Yes, she is truly a "Mutt!. She is extremely smart and will do anything for a treat. I want her to have a nice fenced yard with lots of room to run. Cattle dogs are working dogs and they need lots of exercise! She is spayed, crate trained, fully vaccinated, microchipped and house broken, truly a gem! Ready for immediate transport. ADOPTION FEE $400 PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION!

Story
Critter Cavalry Rescue is trying to help several dogs like Lyla out of a small rural shelter that is cramped and hard on the spirit of the kind of dog like Lyla.  She came to the shelter as an owner surrender forced by the animal control of the shelter.   She and her sister were being crated 24.7 just about and this was negligent and cruel.  She has been in this little shelter for almost 3 months now and her Blue Heeler spirit is just being stifled to get out and have some time to roam a yard, go for a fun run of fetch the ball or just be sleeping on a soft cozy dog bed at your feet.  It is just hard on the spirit when these dogs are stashed away and unnoticed and very little attention except to feed them.  She is 1-2 years old and 38 pounds.  She is mostly Heeler from what we can tell but on the darker side and she is warm and friendly but cautious too because of the confinement she has experienced.  Help us if you love the breed or love rescuing and fostering or even adopting.  She is fully vetted and ready to go!  Email us at  ccrnewengland@gmail.com   It is time to free Lyla! PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 14, 2024, 1:37 pm

Story
We are so excited to introduce this girl called Red Shasta, a 1 year old 48 pound, Red Heeler that is one of the best girls you would ever want to adopt. She was dropped in the countryside of a small Tennessee town near a man’s home who took all three Heelers in to give them a safe place and food and water in this heat.  Soon he realized that he could not keep all three and get them vetted with his limited income.  He took them to a shelter that proceeded to call Critter Cavalry Rescue since we are such fans of the breed.  We have vowed to help them find wonderful homes and Red Shasta is on her way to finding that with this posting.  She is currently in a foster home with a big, older German Shepherd and they play like brother and sister.  She is housebroken, gentle and easy to have around and she is not at all one of the dominant “large and in charge personalities.  She is crate trained and always wears a smile to share with everyone.  She is cat friendly and  you can see how delightfully charming she is the first few minutes of meeting her.  Red Shasta is a stunning example of why the breed is so popular with dog savvy and active people.  They are a sponge for soaking up things to learn and they will make you feel like the most important person on the planet or at least in her world you will be.  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue about this girl at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.July 14, 2024, 1:37 pm

Story
Keith is a backroad supermutt! We are pretty sure he has border collie and bully breed somewhere in there. He gets along great with his dog foster siblings! He loves to be outside to adventure and play. Though he can be shy at first, he’s a very loving pup! Keith would do best in a home with no cats, as he has tried to bite his foster cat siblings. He has been corrected, but will still try if given the chance! He listens very well and has a good great recall. He’s easily trained with food and affection. Keith is a great balance of calm and athletic— he’d make a great trail AND cuddle buddy! He LOVES his long walks in the fields at his foster home, but he also loves to wind down and chill. He needs a little confidence building so he’s not so shy, but he would make a great addition to any loving family.

Story
Hello, my name is Zoey! I'm a special dog looking for my forever home. I am actively working on my manners and follow commands well, making me an obedient companion who would love to continue learning new tricks and skills. I form strong bonds with my humans and will always be by your side, showing my loyalty. With plenty of energy, I love to play, run, and go on adventures. I'm protective and will make sure you feel safe and secure, facing new challenges with courage and determination. I'm highly motivated by treats, which makes training a breeze. I prefer to be the center of attention, so I need to be the only pet in the home. Additionally, I'm looking for a home without children where I can thrive and feel comfortable. Experience with cattle dogs is preferred, as I have unique needs and characteristics typical of my breed. If you're looking for a loyal and energetic companion who will always have your back, I might be the perfect match for you. Let's meet and see if we're meant to be!

Story
Scuba is a sweet 6 year old male Australian Shepherd. He is merle with a big fluffy tail! Scuba loves love. He is great with people, animals and children. He might take some time to fully warm up but he is always happy to meet new friends. Scuba truly just needs his person and spent a lot of 1:1 time with his previous owner who sadly passed earlier this year. We are family members who for a myriad of reasons cannot adopt him ourselves and are committed to finding his forever home! We are here for Scuba and the future family until he meets the rainbow bridge! He's in Portland ME where he would often go on pack walks with dogs of various sizes and breeds and gets along with other dogs. He would do great in any household where he got plenty of attention, play and walks but also cannot wait to curl up with you. He has a mild / medium energy, but I would call him a pretty chill dude most of the time. He has a small birth defect in his left eye but has visibility + doesn't bother him!

Story
We are trying to help this sweet girl called Bonnie Belle to find a home since her elderly parents are in failing health and cannot care for their five dogs.  Bonnie Belle is a mix of some interesting breeds.  We think she has some Aussie and maybe Boxer in her.  The Australian Shepherd trait is what makes her a protector of the yard and home when strangers approach.  She is the home security dog officer!   This girl is losing her home because her elderly parents have fallen into bad health.  Bonnie Belle is 4 years old and weighs a little over 40 pounds.  She adores people and is good with the other dogs that she spends time with in the fenced yard.  She is housebroken, affectionate and a devoted girl to her family.  If you would like to give Bonnie her next forever home, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue who is helping her at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.July 14, 2024, 1:37 pm
