Originally adopted from a shelter after likely raising more than her fair share of litters, Maggie is now looking for a better fit — a home that truly understands her needs and respects her boundaries. Maggie is the kind of dog who values connection but also independence. She loves pets and scratches, but on her terms — when she’s had enough, she’ll politely walk away like the classy lady she is. She’s not clingy or overly needy, but when she trusts you, her quiet loyalty speaks volumes. She loves her walks and takes her time exploring the world through her nose, making her the perfect companion for someone who enjoys a good stroll and doesn’t mind stopping to smell the roses (or fire hydrants). On walks, Maggie is well-mannered, and she’s been calm and friendly around children, happily accepting gentle pets without fuss. She’s not particularly social with other dogs, and larger dogs can make her nervous — she may bark at them, but it’s more about insecurity than aggression. This handsome red heeler mix puppy is called Ernie and he and his brother Bert and their mom were found in a barn where they had been raised by their stray mother. Their mother was barely hanging on to life. The happy ending to her story is she is living with a wonderful family now and is loved and Ernie is looking for a wonderful family too raise him, love him, and bring his own special joy to. Ernie is a really delightful and well adjusted 6-month-old puppy that weighs 26 lb. He is a friendly little guy that enjoys meeting people and loves to chase a ball and bring it back to you. His innocence and love for life is contagious. He craves being with people that like him and speak kind words to him. He will crawl in your lap and be your best little buddy. His foster mom who raised he and his brother Bert says that he has the best temperament and personality. Recently this little guy went to a yoga class at the YMCA and had so much fun. It was a totally new and unique environment and he handled it with great poise and embraced all of the Zen vibes going on. Ernie is housebroken, crate trained, loves being around other cats and dogs alike and adores children. There isn't a living creature on this earth that he doesn't like. He is learning quite well,  how to walk on a leash and he rides in a car like a pro. He would be a great dog to take for hikes, long walks, outdoor events and adventures, and of course he would be a hit at any family reunions. Ernie is ready to call a family and their home his very own. Alfie is just the sweetest boy who is only 10 months old, weighs 48 pounds and has overcome so much in his young life.  This boy has overcome such a deep shyness with meeting new people and his foster mom has helped him learn confidence and the acceptance of affection from people.   He is a kind and sweet dog that is a medium energy, a kind spirit and good with other creatures in his life.  He is good with cats, dogs and just needs a slow introduction with new people. He’s fun, happy spunky little puppy. Just an eight weeks old, he’s already learned not to jump up. They are not kept in any Puppy pin or fenced area, he is so mature And well behaved, he just stays at the house or follows us around the farm watching us work. This boy would be a great working dog. He comes neutered, complete puppy vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, and on flea, tick and heartworm prevention. He is currently in Harrison, Arkansas On a farm rather than in an institutional on a farm rather than In a shelter facility,  and will be transported via the rescue network transport to a location near you. This is Blue Eyed Lola and she came to our rescue as a very starved nursing momma dog with 6 puppies draining her daily while nursing.  She had been a stray with no food provided for her as she tried to keep her babies alive.  She has now put back on her weight and a tad more than needed but she is safe and loved and trying to find her new family to love.  She is a timid but extremely calm girl that is an Aussie mix with the prettiest blue eyes.  She just wants to belong to someone and her foster mom is so touched by her sweet soul and how she tries to almost be invisible in life and not be a problem.  She needs some confidence building and some training that will make her feel smart!  She is good with other dogs and very submissive to them.  She is just fine with cats and almost completely housebroken.  We love our little Blue Eyed Lola and want the rest of her life to be easy and for her to a treasured part of someone’s family or even a single person’s BFF.  She is great on a leash and rides very well in a car.  She is ready to explore life with someone that wants her to come along.  Lola will be forever grateful to have a chance to love you.  Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested.  Let us know where you live:  city and state.
