She is lovely. So smart and trainable. I would love to find her a family that will give her agility or some kind of work training. I am not giving her what she needs. She loves her walks and is good on a leash. She does get excited for other humans and dogs.Up to date on all meds. Last vet visit doc said she’s the healthiest dog they’ve seen in a long time.I really love her. I will regret this. AND I need to let her go to a place where she can have her needs better met.She is used to fenced yard. And she also runs well at a farm we visit, returns to me She still loves her Kennel and it will go with her.

Story
Meet ✨Dami✨ — a beautiful, intelligent girl with a thoughtful personality and the classic brains and drive that come with a herding breed. Dami can be a little reserved when first meeting new people and situations, preferring to take her time to observe and feel comfortable before fully opening up. Once she begins to trust you, though, her sweet and loyal personality truly starts to shine. As a herding dog, Dami is incredibly smart and thrives when she has both mental and physical outlets. She’s the kind of dog who enjoys having a “job” to do, whether that’s learning new skills, going on adventures, working on training, solving enrichment puzzles, or staying active alongside her people. Without enough stimulation, her busy herding-dog brain can easily become bored, so she’s looking for a home that understands the importance of enrichment, routine, and structure. Dami would do best with a patient family willing to let her warm up at her own pace and help continue building her confidence through positive experiences. She isn’t the type of dog to instantly jump into every situation, but with time, kindness, and consistency, she forms deep bonds and becomes an incredibly rewarding companion. She’s searching for a forever home that will appreciate both her sensitive side and her intelligent working-dog nature. With the right guidance, plenty of enrichment, and lots of love, Dami has all the potential to grow into an amazing best friend and loyal partner for life. ✨ - Around 4 years old - Currently 45lbs and on track to lose a couple pounds - Prefers to be the only dog in the home - Adoption fee: $175 To inquire about this dog, please email dogs@adoptapetfenton.com. Story
Remi Remi is a Female Border Collie mix DOB: February of 2024 Adoption fee: $100 I weigh around 45 pounds; I am full grown and will not get any bigger. I am a little timid when first meeting strangers. I have a very soft demeaner and as I become more comfortable with my caretakers, I get playful and silly over the littlest things. I am new to the shelter and have learned the routine well. I am very clean in my kennel. Not much information was given about my past. I do enjoy the outdoors and smelling every inch of the fenced in areas. To keep me safe, I will require a physically fenced in yard. I may match with another dog pending a meet and greet. I may enjoy children, but a busy household may overwhelm me. I will do my best with older children. I have met cats and tend to avoid them. I will not bother them if they do not bother me. I am a very nice girl who is still trying to figure out who I am. I just need a family to help me discover how wonderful life can be as part of their family.

Story
Addie is smart, energetic, sweet, playful, quirky and loving. Unfortunately, she suddenly started attacking our cats unprovoked over the past year. She also has an issue with resource guarding, but this has been improving due to positive reinforcement. She has not been around many children, but she once nipped at a younger child running when she was 1yr due to her herding instinct. A friend of ours provoked an unsupervised level 3 bite from her in November 2024, and we went through reactive dog and in home training after. Despite this, she is occasionally still reactive, but she has not bitten anyone since. We are concerned with our cats’ safety, and the issue of us starting a family soon. Addie loves to show off all her tricks, play fetch, walk, run, swim, and cuddle. She would excel in agility or any working job. She would thrive in a home with people that love to stay active and can provide Addie with mental stimulation (no young children, maybe another dog). All her things included

Story
Nicky was my wife's dog. Now that my wife is in memory care Nicky is not getting the previous TLC attention she needs for a happy life. She is boisterously healthy and needs room to run. Perfect for really active children's playmate. She was purchased from a well known breeder of herding dogs. Maybe she could find a farm job? A spectacular athlete. She is reactive to other dogs while on a leash. Needs retraining. I just don't have the required time to invest in her as I close down this farm. She is very sweet and would certainly respond to concentrated training.

Story
My pure bred English cream golden had puppies with a husky/shepherd mix. I kept one of the puppies. Tiffany is a super super sweet girl who loves everyone and has a calm temperament, especially for a 10 month old. If you are home she sleeps and chills 90% of the time. She does have some accidents in the house that I think would help if someone was home to work with her more. She walks well on a leash, and is 0% aggressive. Unfortunately Tiffany has some separation anxiety and I think would love a home with someone around more. She deserves the best home with people who love her. I love her so much and would love to keep in touch with anyone who would adopt her.
