Story
Location: Warrensburg, Mo Contact: Melanie 251-652-8921 Meet Archie! Archie is a 1-year-old Border Collie mix weighing in at around 50 lbs. This sweet, energetic pup is the perfect mix of playful and affectionate. He’s great on a leash, kennel trained, and gets along wonderfully with kids, other dogs, and even cats! Archie is a social butterfly who thrives in public settings and loves making new friends at the dog park. As a young and active dog, Archie enjoys going on walks, running, playing, and tackling puzzle toys that challenge his smart Border Collie brain. He’s still very much a puppy at heart and sometimes gets a little too curious—he may chew on things he shouldn’t if left unsupervised. With a bit of continued training and lots of love, Archie will make an incredible companion for an active family or individual ready to match his zest for life. Archie is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. **Please note: Archie is not in the care of Pawsibilities Are Endless. This is a courtesy post to help him find a loving home. For more information or to meet Archie, please contact Melanie at 251-652-8921 April 26, 2025, 1:21 pm

Story
Archie is a very sweet boy with a LOT of energy. After a lot of consideration, we have determined that he needs to be in a home where he can get more exercise and burn more energy regularly. He would do great on a farm, with a family to keep him busy, or with an active owner! He loves to run, play, fetch, etc. Archie has done well with other dogs, kids, and cats and becomes very loyal and attached to his family. Archie is a little over one year old. We have had him for around 11 months. He is neutered and up to date on all shots and flea/tick meds.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in adopting, read about our Adoption Process and complete an Adoption Application on the Mo-Kan website.  A Mo-Kan application must be filled out to begin the process.(Sending an "Inquiry" via Petfinder does not constitute an application.)   When this striking young man was rescued by MoKan, one name immediately seemed to fit – Redford – because he is so handsome! His long, soft coat is a beautiful mixture of red, brown & black, with patches of white on his head, face & neck, along with his white sock feet. His unique brindle markings continue on his long, full tail that he happily wags frequently. Redford came into MoKan as an unwanted stray, and those of us who have been in his presence simply cannot understand why. The sweetest personality accompanies Redford’s dashing looks, and he is all about pleasing his person. He has learned ‘sit’ and ‘down’ and is very mindful when his foster mom gives him direction. There is no doubt Redford would respond well to any type of training, and he is a big fan of rewards. Although he is not very fond of his crate yet, with a few words of encouragement over time he stops whining and settles in. So far, there have been no accidents inside the house, and he is given numerous opportunities for bio breaks throughout the day and frequent yard time. He is learning to walk on a leash and seems to enjoy exploring, but right now we do a lot of zig zagging along the way. Redford plays very nicely with his two foster dog siblings who are both smaller in size, and he would likely love to have a furry sibling. Although he has not exhibited any prey drive, per se, Redford does seem easily annoyed by the presence of his foster kitty cat siblings, so he might do best in a home without cats or small critters. Redford is a 50 pound extremely loving two year-old with a lot of puppy playfulness but not the destructive behaviors that sometime accompany a puppy. He is very content to play with toys, balls, and gnaw on teething bones. He puts a paw on each shoulder and gives hugs to his foster mom, and he is always thrilled to receive a belly rub. He thinks brushing his hair is a game, with the winner being the one who captures the brush…but we’ll keep working on that. Given that Redford has only recently discovered what it’s like to be in a loving home, it would probably be best if he is not left alone for extended periods of time. Redford is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and receives monthly preventatives. He is being fostered in the St. Louis, MO area. This good-looking fella is ready to find his happily forever with a family of his own. Could that be you? Maybe? Spanky and his gang had a dog named Pete or Petey, he was their constant companion. Meet the updated version of Petey. This compact black and white bundle of joy, wakes up happy smiling and wagging his tail every morning. Petey is a people person - he loves being with his people. He is well behaved and a good listener. Petey has a "people pleaser" personality, making him submissive and sensitive to correction because he doesn't want to disappoint anyone. Petey is cautious around new people but once he knows you are a safe person, he quickly becomes your best friend. Petey loves going everywhere you go - running errands no problem he will wait in the car patiently. Petey is well behaved in the car or in public. Petey loves playing with his foster siblings, playing with toys, running a lap or two around the yard and (of course) being all cute and cuddly on the couch. He loves going for walks and meeting new people. Petey sits perfectly by your side or will lay down and wait. He is crate trained, housebroken, leash trained, "sits" on command and gives a paw for a "shake". Petey is learning "lay down" and "wait". Petey is a neutered 29 month old male, fully vetted, heartworm negative and on prevention. If you are looking for a cute and cuddly companion Petey is your guy. He will never let you down and will give you unconditional love for a lifetime. Chips is a charismatic 6 month old border collie with a bright future. He is a wonderful little gentleman who loves a party and can’t wait to fill your life with adventures. Chips is incredibly intelligent and eager to please. He is crate and house trained and picked up sit, down, and station within just a few sessions. He is currently working on loose leash walking. He is incredibly attentive and is both food and toy motivated. He has tug drive and is a sport prospect. He is excelling in beginning disc skills but his skills could transfer to many different areas (fly ball, agility, etc.) While he is easy going, he does need someone who recognizes his potential and will continue to work with him as he becomes an amazing companion. Training is a must as he will amuse himself if not given an appropriate outlet. He settles well when asked to do so which is part of his training that he has picked up quickly. This is truly a special guy looking for a home who wants to see him succeed in being his very best. Up to date on vaccines and neutered.
