Josephine "Joey" has total girl next door (or across the creek) vibes, and came to us with her buddies Dawson and Pacey. She's cute as a button, but as bit of a tomboy, can totally hold her own with the guys. She's the most loyal and genuine friend who will be there for you no matter what, season after season until the final take. She's just looking for someone to return the favor. Joey is friendly, sweet and smart. She can be a little bit on the bashful side meeting new people, but her confidence is growing every day! She previously lived with kids, but she's choosy about dog friends, so she requests a meet and greet with any potential canine siblings. When she met cats here, she acted a little timid, but would likely be fine living with them after proper introductions. Joey is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Life isn't complete without a ride-or-bust best friend, the one who's always there for you season after season. Enter Pacey, the third amigo in our Dawson's Creek crew. Instead of being witty or rebellious like his namesake, our Pacey is sweet as pie and offers more fun than hanging out at the docks. But like TV Pacey, he's a fan (volunteer/staff) favorite and is all heart. This happy, handsome boy would be the perfect BFF to go on adventures with, then snuggle up for some bingeworthy TV. Pacey is about 9 months old, likely the brother of Josephine and maybe the son of Dawson - talk about a teen drama! He's choosy about dog friends, so he requests a meet and greet with any potential canine siblings. He'd likely be just fine with cats and kids after slow and proper introductions. Story
We have a tale of 2 sisters and we want to share their story. Gracie and Katie came to us due to their owner no longer being able to care for them. Sadly, most shelters, rescues and humane societies have been running at full or over capacity, us included. What made placement difficult for these girls is that they are both special needs as they are both BLIND and unfortunately because they had no where to go euthanasia was an option their owner was faced with, due to a few rescue options falling through at the last minute. We were contacted by a local vet clinic who was desperately seeking placement for these sweet souls as they were running out of time. Luckily, we had 2 dogs that were adopted over the weekend which helped free up space to take these girls in. The girls have been with us a few weeks and they have their own private peaceful room to relax in together. We knew their transition to a shelter environment with new people would be difficult for them since they are unable to see. We have been taking baby steps & have worked with them slowly as they were very confused as to where they were and if they could talk we are sure they were wondering `who are all these new people, scents, sounds and voices`? We are happy to report Gracie & Katie have made great progress...they have now made the transition to feeling much more comfortable with us, enjoying their walks, exploring our play yard and loving all of the attention they receive from our staff. They love chin scratches, they get excited when they recognize our voices and they seek us out for affection. They have become more confident & playful and we now receive doggy kisses from them! It is absolutely wonderful to see how far they have come from being scared, shut down & unsure of their new surroundings.We are searching for a special home willing to adopt both Gracie & Katie together, as they are a definitely a bonded pair. Although they are unable to see what their future holds, They hear us tell them everyday how a loving home is coming, They enjoy smelling and tasting all the treats they receive. Most importantly they can feel the loving touch of someone who cares each and everyday. Still young and so full of personality at just 3 yrs old all these girls need is a home. We have 6 puppies that are beautiful and playful. They were brought to me when Mama was pregnant and the were born in our house. Mom is a very plain all black, 25# dog…breed not determined but she must have picked some beautiful boyfriends. They were born on 6/9/2026…3 boys & 3 girls. Two of them have 1 or 2 beautiful blue eyes. I let my phone app scan for breeds. For each puppy I will list the 2 most common and expected but no guarantees. LOBO is a 17# male that is the sweetest ever. We think he is Border Collie (Blk/white w/4 white feet)….and maybe Lab. We expect he will grow to 50#. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You will receive the dog's folder with all the printouts proving the medical treatments received. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." Samson is a male Australian Shepherd / Border Collie mix, born May, 2025 He is high energy, people oriented, and would do best in a home with a fenced in yard and/or with someone willing to take him on daily long walks or runs. A home that can give him real exercise and training time is important.He grew up in the country, so new faces might take a minute, but he warms up quickly and is not aggressive. He lives with young kids who play with him. He is house trained, crate trained, easy to train, and picks things up fast. We are rehoming him because our schedule is full and we have a baby is due in November. He needs more attention and exercise than we can give him right now, and we want to see him in a home that best suits what he deserves.
