Story
This is Felix. He is super sweet. He has the markings of border collie in a way, but is shaped more like his mom and has short hair. He is lovable. He likes to hang with his brothers and sisters, but will come for attention as well. Housetraining is not 100%, but he is very close. We don't know what breed(s) Felix is. His mom appears to be a Manchester Terrier. Using an online calculator, it is estimated that his full grown weight will be about 50 lbs. We don't know what breed(s) his father is, so we don't know how accurate this is. DOB: 9/30/25. Felix is neutered, had all of his vaccines and been microchipped. Adoption fee: $175 If interested in Felix, please fill out an adoption application: https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/MFAR/42224-mfar-adoption-application

Story
This is 11 year old Stella. Her mom adopted her as a puppy from us in 2014. Stella's mom is having some health issues that require her to go to a nursing home. At this point her family is not sure if it will be temporary or long term. Her main concern is Stella, which she considers her 3rd child. Since Stella is an ABLAR alumni, we want to step up for Stella and her mom. WE NEED A FOSTER FOR STELLA ASAP !! She is house, leash and crate trained. Super sweet and loving. Stella weighs approx 50 lbs. She is still very active and loves squeaky toys. She has been the only furbaby but does get along with other dog friendly dogs. Cats unfortunately are not a good mix for Stella. She is also used to a fenced in yard but that would not be necessary since she is leash trained. Please contact 828-612-2951 if you can foster Stella for us. We try to limit our travel time for home visits to a two-hour driving range (about 75 miles) from Morganton, NC. Please visit http://www.abetterlifeanimalrescue.com/adopt-a-pet.html for an adoption application.

Nebula is an adventurous, curious guy who prefers to explore the world on his own terms. He enjoys taking in all the sights and smells around him, often choosing to follow his nose over engaging with toys or treats. While he may not seek constant attention, his quirky and independent nature makes him a fun companion for someone who appreciates a dog with a mind of his own. Nebula would thrive in a home that enjoys outdoor time and allows him to wander and discover at his own pace. Leash Manners: Inconsistent—alternates between walking nicely, pulling, and occasionally planting himself Tricks: Sit Toy Preference: Wander and sniff More Fun Facts: Prefers exploring outside and following his nose; not very food motivated Personality Key Descriptors: Adventurous, Curious, Independent, Quirky Love Language: None Energy-o-Meter (0–15): 4 Adoption includes vaccines, deworming, flea treatment, microchip, heartworm test, spay/neuter unless medically prohibited. Story
This sweet Border Collie mix may be a little shy at first, but all Nectar really wants is someone to love him. Found alone in a barn and never claimed, he's still learning that people can be kind and dependable. While he may hesitate at first, give him just a few minutes and you'll see his brave little heart start to shine. Nectar is doing his very best to trust, and he's looking for a patient family who will show him that he's finally home. Could you be the one to give this gentle boy the love he's been waiting for?
