Story
✨ Meet Little Debbie! ✨ If joy had four legs and a wagging tail, it would look exactly like this one‑year‑old border collie mix! Little Debbie is 53 lbs of sparkle, smarts, and snuggles. She’s house trained, mostly crate trained, fully vaccinated, and will be spayed—ready to start her brand‑new chapter! This bright girl loves to learn and thrives when you give her fun things to do. She’s energetic, playful, and has a few classic herding quirks that make her extra charming. She’s great with kids, adores dog friends, and sees cuddling as the perfect alternative to always being on the go. Yes, she might jump when she's excited—but that’s just her enthusiasm bubbling over. Little Debbie has bounced through a few homes that didn’t quite understand her active brain and big energy, so she’s searching for someone who truly “gets” her. If you love training games, outdoor fun, and ending the day with a cozy snuggle buddy, she’s your girl. 💛 Smart 💛 Silly 💛 Snuggly 💛 Searching for her forever Ready to give Little Debbie the stable, loving home she deserves? She’s ready to give you her whole heart in return. As always, we strongly suggest that any resident dogs meet Little Debbie prior to going home. Please bring updated vet records for your resident pup that shows current distemper/parvo, Bordetella, and rabies vaccines. To learn more about Little Debbie, or to meet her in person, please contact her foster parent at 336-213-2642

Story
Bella is a very sweet and quiet Border Collie Mix. She is 11 years old and in good health. She has just received her 3yr rabies vaccination. She is well behaved and potty trained. She is an inside dog, and will need extra love during thunderstorms. Good with other pets, but, is used to being the only dog. Her owner was my elderly mother in law who can no longer care for her. My dog is 13 and not doing well with adjusting to a new roommate! We are looking for an owner who is loving and gentle towards Senior dogs. Bella must be an inside dog.

Story
Meet Artsy Marcy – A Survivor with a Brilliant Mind and an Even Bigger Heart     Artsy Marcy is a beautiful Border Collie mix, around 2 years old and weighing 55–60 pounds. Her life began with unimaginable hardship, yet she has never let her past define her. It is believed that Marcy and her siblings were abandoned in a remote rural area of Tennessee. While trying to survive on their own, tragedy struck when they were hit by a train. Her sister did not survive, and Marcy was left with a severely dislocated hip. Thanks to a compassionate foster who refused to give up on her, Marcy received the surgery and care she desperately needed. Today she has only a slight limp—a small reminder of just how far she has come.     Marcy is everything you would expect from a Border Collie mix: incredibly intelligent, observant, athletic, and eager to be part of whatever her people are doing. She loves hiking, exploring, and would thrive in an active home where she can exercise both her body and her mind. She has a natural herding instinct and enjoys having a job or purpose.   She is wonderful with people and genuinely enjoys human companionship. While she may be a little shy during first introductions, she warms up quickly and forms strong, loyal bonds. Once she trusts you, she is affectionate, devoted, and eager to please.     Marcy has lived around cats, but she does have a prey drive, so any home with cats should be experienced and committed to proper introductions and management. She also does well with some dogs but can be selective about her canine companions. Like many intelligent, confident working breeds, she appreciates respectful introductions and clear leadership. She would do best with an adopter who understands Border Collie personalities and will provide consistent structure, training, and outlets for her energy.     Marcy isn't looking to be just another dog lying quietly in the corner. She is looking for someone who will appreciate her intelligence, celebrate her spirit, and give her the freedom to be the amazing Border Collie mix she was born to be.   Against all odds, this remarkable girl survived when she easily could have been another forgotten statistic. Now she deserves the happy ending she has fought so hard for.   If you'd like to learn more about Artsy Marcy or speak with the foster mom who saved her life, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.     Could you be the person who gives this extraordinary survivor the forever home she's been waiting for?       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 10, 2026, 2:51 pm
