Story
Rize is a one of a kind shelter girl that was plucked from a tiny shelter in East Tennessee and taken home by an accomplished trainer who has molded, polished and taught her amazing things for the past 5 months.   This girl Rize is determined to be a Border Collie mix who is about 8 months old and 36 pounds.  What a gift she has had living under the loving and competent eye of this woman who has trained even the shyest of dogs to be confident and live a more normal life in this crazy world that can be scary to so many dogs.  Rize is very sweet and loving and good with all the dogs that she has met.  Fully vetted, this girl is looking for an active family or person that will give her a fenced yard and will continue to use the commands and reinforced training that have been started by foster mom, Diane.  She would be fine with children that are 7 years and above and of course you have to know that Border Collies are an active herding breed that love to have fun jobs to do.  She is not a crazy energy like some can be.  We are not looking for a family that needs to crate her for long hours during the day while they work.  The work from home situations are great for a girl like Rize.  We can provide 100 videos if needed and certainly a good and insightful conversation with the foster mom once we receive an application.  Please write to us for an application at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Tell us where you live, City and stateWe transport from Tennessee to the northeastern states.  We also in the southeast and especially Tennessee residents.  This girl has had thousands of dollars worth of training and you get it for just an adoption fee that covers her vetting and spay.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 6, 2025, 5:05 pm

Story
Hi, I’m Lainey! I’m a 2-year-old Border Collie/Cattle Dog mix with a heart as big as my smarts! At 35 pounds, I’m the perfect size for outdoor adventures, playful romps, and lots of brain games to keep me sharp. I can be a bit cautious when meeting new people—it just takes me a little time to feel safe. But once I know you’re kind and trustworthy, my true personality shines! I’ll shower you with affection, playful energy, and endless loyalty. I’m an active and intelligent girl who loves to stay busy and engaged. While I do okay with other dogs, I prefer calm, easygoing companions who give me space to be myself. I’m already spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped, so I’m ready to start my journey with you. If you’re looking for a thoughtful, loving, and energetic partner who just needs a little time to warm up, I’d love to meet you! Come meet me! Apply to meet me at foothillshumanesociety.org, or visit me at: 📍 989 Little Mountain Rd, Columbus, NC 28722 🕒 Wednesday through Sunday, 11am–5pm Questions? Email adopt@foothillshumanesociety.org or call (828) 863-4444. Let’s start our adventure together! 🐾

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Cornelius a.k.a. Buddy is 1 year-old and 65lbs of fluffy love! Buddy is the perfect name for him because he is very sweet and snuggly and loves attention- especially belly rubs. He loves every human he meets and is good with female dogs. He is very submissive but will need to be introduced slowly to male dogs. He is playful with males that are smaller than him. He loves to play with his female canine foster siblings, and would definitely appreciate another dog in the house.   Buddy can get pretty attached to his person, so just watch your feet when you are cooking! He is getting more and more independent at home He is, about 80% of the time, just laying around. He's generally a pretty lazy little man.   Buddy is house broken, crate trained, and does especially well with a good chew, like antlers or yak cheese. He has come a long way and can sit and shake and we are working on perfecting his recall.   He has been trained out of jumping, but he does still paw for attention a bit. He loves to snuggle with the 7yo and 5yo tiny humans in his foster home, but can be shy about anyone running up to him. Respectful kids are appreciated for him! He enjoys walks around the neighborhood and is respectful of passersby. He's also gone on short runs with his foster dad, but he's definitely a lazy boy that would rather be snuggling. He is learning everyday what the good life is all about but he will need patience as he adjust to a loving life, he's just a bit shy at first. When this guy trusts you, you will see he is really just a kind, loving, big, bumbling Buddy Boy. Follow along with his foster home adventures: https://www.facebook.com/share/15qhQkHuEP/?mibextid=qi2Omg  You can apply to adopt me here: https://www.pawfectmatch.org/info/adoption Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 5, 2025, 11:29 am

Story
Cooper has a big personality and even more hair! For the most part he is chill and if you let him on the couch he will nap at your feet but he still likes to get up and play with his family. He has been good with our children, no bite history whatsoever. He has been around other dogs and is playful but we’ve never had a cat so I’m not sure how he would handle that but to be on the safe side I would say no. He needs a fence and someone willing to work with him on a few things like bath time and leash walking. We are estimating his birthday to be around April of 2015.
