Story
She is a really sweet and goofy almost 4 year old girl when she is by herself! She LOVES to play fetch and is incredibly fast and agile. We have debated back and forth about rehoming her but ultimately need to protect our other dog. She will need to be in a single dog home as she has attacked our other female dog multiple times despite training and behavior remediation. We have her triggers figured out for the most part (food, laying on bed when other dog is on the floor, attention from Mom and being caught in tight spaces with other dog) but it is still not enough to keep our other dog out of harm’s way. She is leash trained, however, she has anxiety about walking in our neighborhood. She does alright in nature preserves and parks with a gentle leader.

Story
Fawkes is a 3 year old mixed breed dog, we think she looks like a Border Collie but only a DNA test will tell us for sure. She weighs 31 pounds and is thin. She has a long black coat with dark brown on the legs. She is a very friendly clever girl who is looking for a person or family who can give her structure, training love and appropriate exercise. Fawkes lived with an older person and several other dogs in her previous home. Her caretaker could no longer care for her after her owner moved out and left her behind. We always recommend a meet and greet with the adopters dogs. Fawkes is up to date on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm disease and her adoption fee includes a voucher for the mandatory spay and microchip.

Story
Chopper is the kind of dog that makes you wonder how he hasn’t been scooped up yet. At around 2 years old and 47 lbs, this handsome Border Collie/Heeler mix is the perfect blend of athletic, affectionate, and easygoing. If you’re looking for a buddy to keep up with your active lifestyle—Chopper is your guy. He’s obsessed with his frisbee (seriously, it’s his favorite thing in the world!) and would thrive with someone who enjoys hiking, jogging, or spending time outdoors. He’s got the energy to go, but also the heart to be your loyal sidekick. Chopper is incredibly sweet-natured and social. He loves people, gets along well with other dogs, and brings a happy, friendly energy wherever he goes. Whether it’s playtime in the yard or hanging out after an adventure, he’s just happy to be part of the moment with you. ✔️ Neutered ✔️ Heartworm negative ✔️ Dog-friendly ✔️ People-loving Chopper is ready to find a home where he can be loved, exercised, and included as part of the family. If you’ve been searching for a fun, devoted companion with a playful streak—he might just be your perfect match. Adoption application: https://blueysh4h.org/heeler-adoption-application-form/
