Story
Alder is an extremely sweet, quiet, shy boy. He is the dog version of an introvert. He is gentle and sticks to himself and is great with other dogs of all sizes and with cats. He doesn't engage much with them thought as he prefers to do his own thing. He has to be the most low maintenance and chill dog I've ever had in the rescue out of hundreds of dogs. He is hesitant with people he doesn't know but never aggressive. Not an ounce of aggression. He was listed as a pit bull mix at the shelter when he was smaller and still a younger puppy but now that he is an older puppy (about a year) it's obvious that he is not a pittie but looks more like a border collie. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue/reviews (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) Vetting: neutered, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm tested (negative) Adoption fee: $550 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma and all vetting listed above) Adoption application (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 FAQs (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://docs.google.com/document/d/12eb_SRtk1AzaBl87UltcLJ24MjH9UhQm_LE77iWZEQA/edit?tab=t.0 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95

Story
Henry is about a year old and he is the best boy. He looks like a small great pyrenees but also like an all white border collie. His build and energy is definitely more border collie like. He looooves to play with other dogs and run and play in the water. He is outgoing and confident and very smart. He is also great with cats. He would do really well in active household that enjoys outdoor activities or on a farm where he gets to help with daily chores. Another playful dog in the home would be a bonus. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. Story
Lass is a 10 wk old female Border Collie/ Mini Aussie mixed puppy. I believe she will be a small medium when full grown. My guess is 20 to 30 lbs. Lass and her littermates came to us from another rescue. The rescue was full and asked if we could help with these puppies. These puppies are wonderful. They seem very intelligent and are enjoying learning new things every day here at the rescue. They are learning to use a doggy door to go outside and have discovered how fun toys can be. They happily come running when called and will follow you everywhere. They are very friendly and outgoing puppies. They are healthy, happy and ready to join their forever families. She will need help with house training. She is currently working on pee pad training. She has been fine with children, cats and other dogs. She is up to date on shots and wormed. She will be adopted on a spay contract. The adoption fee is $300. If interested in meeting this cutie, please email heritagefarms08@gmail.com or call the foster mom Lisa at 419-591-6621. They are being fostered in Liberty Center, Ohio. When emailing please include information about you and your family including other pets. Current vet information is also appreciated.
