Luna is a 9 year old Border Collie who loves to be goofy and play as much as she likes treats. She can be very vocal at times and will tell you what she wants. She is very smart, learns tricks very easily, but also can be very stubborn and refuses things. Her favorite toy is her squeaky pig and squeaky basketball and she will even hit the basketball back to you if you toss it to her! Luna loves to play with toys and she can be very goofy. She can play hide and seek as well as weave between your legs. If you stand with your legs apart, she also likes to stand between them so you can sway her back and forth! Unfortunately, Luna has a lot of behavioral issues that I am not equipped to handle and needs a place that has the experience and patience to home her forever. She is very protective, which makes her aggressive, and she is not fully house-trained. She has a lot of energy and needs a place where she can run, play, and be happy. PLEASE help quickly if you can as I have no other options

Meet Stryker! 🐾 Stryker is a young adult Border Collie mix with a friendly, outgoing personality and a whole lot of energy to share. He’s an active, enthusiastic boy who’s always ready for his next adventure. Stryker is still working on his leash manners, but with consistency and practice, he’ll make a great walking or hiking partner. Smart, energetic, and eager to please, Stryker would thrive with a family who can keep him active and engaged. The shelter is open Tuesday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A meet-and-greet is required for all shelter dogs if you already have a dog. I am very sweet and great with everyone. I love kids but because I am big and energetic, I probably shouldn't live with small children. Meet Rosie; a 5-year-old Border Collie/Heeler mix with a heart of gold. She is fully house-trained, doesn’t chew or destroy things, and only barks when there is a good reason. Rosie is about as low-maintenance as they come! She is incredibly sweet, though admittedly not the sharpest tool in the shed (we say it with love!). I have had Rosie since she was an 8-week-old puppy, but due to ongoing health issues I have, I can no longer give her the care she deserves. A fenced yard is a must, as she loves to run and explore. Rosie gets along well with dogs her size or larger, though she has never lived with cats & she tends to chase the neighborhood ones she sees outside. If you are looking for a loving, low-key companion who is happiest snuggled up next to you on the couch, Rosie could be the perfect fit. She is an indoor dog who just wants someone to love and spend time with.

Lacey is a 10-year-old Border Collie/Beagle mix with the softest soul and the most devoted heart. She’s incredibly sweet, gentle, and happiest when she’s right by her people’s side—quietly following along, just wanting to be included. She definitely inherited the beagle nose, so fair warning: trash cans should stay secured But beyond that little quirk, Lacey is an easy, peaceful companion. She does fine with other dogs but doesn’t rely on them for companionship—people are her favorite, and that’s all she really needs. Lacey loves the outdoors, especially cooler or cold weather. She would be thrilled with daily walks, time outside with her humans, and simply being able to enjoy fresh air—something she hasn’t had much of in her life so far. Her previous world was very small, and while she was deeply loved, her owners became bedbound and could no longer meet her needs. Letting her go was an act of love, and now Lacey is ready for a new chapter. She has Cushing’s disease, diagnosed a few months ago, and would benefit from activity, weight loss, and consistent care. More than anything, she needs someone who will give her time, affection, and companionship. Lacey isn’t demanding. She doesn’t need chaos or excitement—just a kind person, a steady routine, and love. In return, she’ll give you loyalty, calm companionship, and a quiet presence that makes a house feel like home. If you’re looking for a gentle shadow, a walking buddy, and a dog who just wants to be with you, Lacey may be your perfect match  Adoption is $100 which includes his spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccines, microchip and current monthly prevention. Nova is a sweetheart. I got him as a tiny puppy. Unfortunately he came to us with resource guarding issues, primarily with food and space (especially when he is laying down). He still struggles with these issues, just not quite as bad. After my eldest dog (the alpha) passed away, my middle dog fell into a bad deep depression. During this time, Nova began to attack my middle dog. This was a surprise as they used to play and cuddle 24/7. I was told this just happens sometimes when a younger dog will attack a sick older dog to "claim alpha". He has never bitten another dog, although we were very careful to not get him too close to other dogs. I would say no other dogs would be the best for him. We have never had him around any other animals. Hes great with people and older kids. He is a bit uneasy with young kids. We have a young child and I am just very nervous due to his history and he just isnt getting the life he deserves anymore. He is a cuddle bug lover. He deserves the BEST home!
