Story
Baron is always ready for the next adventure, but he is just as excited about who he gets to share it with. Whether he is joining a volunteer for a run, hiking a new trail, or playing a game of fetch, Baron is happiest when he is spending time with his people. This athletic guy has the stamina to keep up with just about anything you have planned, and he has the brains to match. Baron is incredibly smart, sometimes a little too smart for his own good. He loves having a job to do, enjoys learning, and thrives when his mind is just as busy as his body. His enthusiasm is contagious, and his zest for life has a way of making every outing more fun.Despite all of his energy, Baron is not the type of dog who wants to entertain himself. He genuinely enjoys people and wants to be included in whatever the day has in store. If you are looking for a dog who wants to be your partner through every adventure, Baron is ready to tag along.Baron's best fit:Baron is looking for an active home that can keep both his body and his mind engaged. He will need more than a walk around the neighborhood to feel fulfilled. Hiking, running, training, fetch, or other activities that challenge him are all great ways to help Baron thrive. Baron does well with children who are comfortable around an energetic dog, but he appreciates people who respect his space and allow him to interact on his own terms. He is selective with other dogs and has not been tested with cats.

Story
We had plans for Oreo. Heartworms were not among them. We were thinking a family. A home. Somebody making a ridiculous fuss over him because he’s 5 years old and has missed out on plenty of that. Instead, we’re looking at an $800 heartworm treatment bill and asking for help again. Oreo lived at the end of a chain without much care. His coat was so filthy and matted that the person who rescued him had to shave it. It’s coming back nicely. His ears seem to be handling their own styling. He’s a Border Collie mix, good with dogs and kids, and just a really good boy. We’ll be checking how he feels about cats soon. He’s our third heartworm positive dog in two months. We test every dog who comes in, at $40 a test. When one is positive, we cover treatment. We want to send people home with a dog they love, not a medical expense they weren’t expecting. That’s some of what’s behind an adoption fee. And a whole lot of what’s behind these donation requests. We’re lucky our little rural shelter can still afford to treat dogs like Oreo. We know who makes that possible, and here we are asking you again. Oreo needs help with his treatment and a foster home where he can recover. If that foster home turns into his permanent home, even better. BCHS will cover his heartworm treatment either way. He finally has people taking care of him. We’re going to see this through. Story
PLEASE SHARE,   meet George, he has been with us quite awhile and would really like a loving home of his own. His birthday is 6-30-12.  George loves to hike, swim and just lay around on the couch or cuddling in bed.  George is very well behaved and a great dog.  In George's old home he had always been an only dog, then the family has children. George is very afraid of small children.  George wants to find a loving home where there are no little children crawling around scaring him.  George is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm/lyme test negative, on Heartworm prevention, flea and tick prevention.   His old mother calls him the Lone Wolf.   If you have room in your heart and home for George or any of our other wonderful, beautiful babies please email Miracle House Animal Rescue with your name and telephone number to miraclehouserescue@gmail.com. We are located just east of Cincinnati, Ohio, out Rt 32 in Brown County. We work by appointment only, after you are approved. Thank you.
