Story
Red showed up at my house as a stray; his original owners weren't able to take him back because they didn't have a securely fenced yard and he kept getting out on the road. My house is more securely fenced, but Red could really use a bigger yard and a family who has more time to spend with him than I do. He has not been around children, but he has shown no aggression to anyone and I think he would do well with older children. He loves to play fetch. He also likes to watch TV, preferably while sitting in the chair with you or on top of you. I do not leave him alone in the house unattended but he is crate trained and is happy to go into his crate at night provided he gets a treat as encouragement to go in. He rarely barks unless he is with another dog who barks. He gets along well with other dogs although does like to play a little rough. He does chase small animals so a home with a cat might not be a good idea. He also needs a securely fenced yard.

Rescue Ranch puppies are raised through our puppy foster program. They will have met adults, children, often other dogs, maybe cats. 16-week or older puppies will have taken part in our "Reading to Rescue Pups" program and attended many events. When they are at least 8 weeks old, puppies are given a wellness exam by a licensed veterinarian.  Before going home, all puppies will have been dewormed and received all age-appropriate vaccinations for parvo/distemper, and Bordetella. If they are 4 months or older they will also have their rabies vaccination. All p uppies are also microchipped and registered with  911PetChip . We require spay/neutering of puppies at 6-8 months old (or the appropriate age for giant breeds)  by our veterinarian. The procedure is covered by the adoption fee. Alternatively, adopters can choose to have the procedure done by their own vet (proof required),  and a portion of the cost will be refunded.    All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated.  The standard adoption donation fee for all dogs and puppies is $300 (unless a reduced fee applies )  APPLY NOW       March 22, 2026, 12:31 am

Story
Meet Parker! Parker is a goofy, sweet-natured pup who seems like a curious little boy turned into a dog—wide-eyed, playful, and full of heart. He’s always ready for an adventure… even if he’s a little nervous about it at first! While he’s still working on building his confidence, Parker shows more bravery every day and is eager to experience life outside the shelter. Parker came to us from a hoarding situation, so the big wide world is still a bit overwhelming for him—but he wants to explore it. He just needs a patient and understanding home where he can take things at his own pace. &#226&#156&#168 Why Parker might be perfect for you: He's playful and silly in the best way He learns from other dogs and would thrive in a home with a confident canine buddy He’s curious and willing to try new things (with some encouragement!) He’s looking for gentle guidance from a person who will help him blossom Parker finds a lot of comfort and confidence in the company of other dogs, and he'd do best in a home where he has a calm, social pup to show him the ropes. With the right support system—two-legged and four-legged—Parker is going to shine. Could Parker be your next adventure buddy? Call the Ranch to meet him today!
