Story
Red showed up at my house as a stray; his original owners weren't able to take him back because they didn't have a securely fenced yard and he kept getting out on the road. My house is more securely fenced, but Red could really use a bigger yard and a family who has more time to spend with him than I do. He likes children although he is a little shy with them at first. He loves to play fetch. I do not leave him alone in the house unattended but he is crate trained and is happy to go into his crate at night provided he gets a treat as encouragement to go in. He rarely barks unless he is with another dog who barks. He gets along well with other dogs although does like to play a little rough. He does chase small animals so a home with a cat might not be a good idea. He also needs a securely fenced yard.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. We would like to introduce Mercedes a 4-5 Year Old Border Collie Tripod who weighs 28 lbs and has a beautiful coat of black/white.  She was dumped at our rescue with a broken front leg which was unfortunately not fixable.  Mercedes has adapted well and gets around just fine with no problems.  She is great with other dogs and cats (she just looked at the cat and left him alone).   Mercedes has a very laid back personality and just will make a lovely family member. Mercedes is vaccinated, microchip and spayed.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 29, 2026, 6:32 pm

Story
Lyra is a sweet, gentle 9 year old dog. She’s very spry and healthy and loves to walk and run. She is gentle with children and all people, gets along with most dogs. She does bark fiercely when a new person comes to the home, but will then be friendly. She’s very mellow otherwise. We are re-homing her because we live on a rural property with sheep, and she has a strong prey drive. We have a new baby And can’t spend as much time monitoring and making sure she doesn’t chase them. She would do really well somewhere with a big yard and friendly humans, but NO livestock. She would make a good companion for an older person.

Story
Rescue Ranch puppies are raised through our puppy foster program. They will have met adults, children, often other dogs, maybe cats. 16-week or older puppies will have taken part in our "Reading to Rescue Pups" program and attended many events. When they are at least 8 weeks old, puppies are given a wellness exam by a licensed veterinarian.  Before going home, all puppies will have been dewormed and received all age-appropriate vaccinations for parvo/distemper, and Bordetella. If they are 4 months or older they will also have their rabies vaccination. All p uppies are also microchipped and registered with  911PetChip . We require spay/neutering of puppies at 6-8 months old (or the appropriate age for giant breeds)  by our veterinarian. The procedure is covered by the adoption fee. Alternatively, adopters can choose to have the procedure done by their own vet (proof required),  and a portion of the cost will be refunded.    All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated.  The standard adoption donation fee for all dogs and puppies is $300 (unless a reduced fee applies )  APPLY NOW       April 30, 2026, 6:01 pm
