Story
Alaska’s story begins with resilience as well as heartbreak. She was found tucked away in a culvert, doing her best to keep her puppies safe from the world. That protective, gentle nature that only a good mother can give still defines her today. At times, she’s a bit of a shy girl who may need a moment learning to trust, but once she feels safe, her sweet personality shines through. Alaska keeps her kennel tidy, showing how much she appreciates her space. She gets along well with other dogs, even cats, and truly seems happiest when she has a furry canine companion by her side. Alaska is building confidence and is wonderful on a leash. She responds beautifully to patience and kindness, and one of her favorite things is being talked to. A soft voice reassures her and helps her feel connected. Because of her past, sudden movements, especially above her head, can still frighten her, and she’ll instinctively cower. She’ll need a home that understands her sensitivity and is willing to move at her pace, offering gentle encouragement and consistency. Although the sudden movement could frighten her, Alaska has zero issues seeking affection and enjoys being around people. At the facility, you can always find her loving the attention from staff or a volunteer. With a patient and loving environment, Alaska has all the potential to blossom into a deeply loyal and affectionate companion. She’s the kind of dog who may not rush into your arms, but when she finally does, you’ll know you’ve earned something truly special.

Story
www.pet-tender.com/adoptionform.htm    Mumu is proof that the best things in life are worth waiting for! This gentle, mellow soul has a heart of gold and a wonderfully quiet nature—plus a playful side that comes alive once she knows she's safe. To help her put her best paw forward, Mumu needs a home with dog-savvy humans who are ready to give her the love, patience, and decompression space she needs to blossom. A confident resident dog would also be a massive plus to show her the ropes and share in her playful moments! Mumu isn't an "add to cart and go" kind of pup; she is a project of love. If you aren't ready to dedicate the time and patience she needs to settle in, she won't be the right fit. But if you are ready to open your heart and do the work, this spectacular girl will reward you tenfold. We have chosen Kuranda dog beds for our boarding facilities because they are so good for our dogs. We still don't have enough for all of our kennels. If you would like to donate a bed so another dog can sleep in proper comfort, please click here. July 16, 2026, 4:13 pm
