Story
Meet Jack, a fun-loving and active puppy who is full of energy and ready to find his forever home! Jack is a young, male dog with an adorable and silly personality. He may be a little rough when he plays, so he'd probably do best with bigger dogs or dogs his size. We don't know if he gets along with smaller dogs or cats, but he surely loves people. He is loyal and friendly and loves nothing more than to play and explore. He is an intelligent boy who is already learning to sit on command and walk on a leash. He loves to show off his bravery and dignity, and he's sure to make you laugh with his goofy antics. Jack has been waiting a long time for the right family to come along and he can't wait to finally find his home. If you're looking for a fun, active, and loving companion, Jack is the perfect fit! We are looking for Jack's forever home, he has an adoption fee. This adoption fee includes the following : Spay/ Neuter, Rabies and DHPP vaccination, parasite treatment and heartworm testing/treatment. If you would like to adopt Jack please fill out our adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/73358335488165 If you are interested in this sweet boy, please click on the link below to fill out our application. https://form.jotform.com/73358335488165 Highlight and right click to open application.

Story
Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home.  Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR.  We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone.  Our job is to find those someone's.  Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog.  They come to us because they want to give a dog a home.  We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture.  While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face.  Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home.  We want to create furever families.  Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today.  We'll update as more information is known.  Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days?  If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application.  You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side.  You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.  Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes?  Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email.  We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team   Date into Rescue: See below. Reason for being in rescue: Beaux originally came to CPR in 2015 as an owner surrender. He was adopted by a loving family. Unfortunately, Beaux became aggressive toward a small dog in the home and he was returned to CPR in June 2018. Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? None noted Weight: Est 48 lbs (he's a little chunky) Height: Est 24" at the shoulder Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $200 Fence needed? Yes What kind of home would be best for me? Beaux would prefer a home with experienced owners of his breed and temperament. Currently, he is living with several other same size and bigger dogs as he doesn't like little dogs that represent prey. Beaux prefers proper dog on dog introductions to help him get used to his new friends. He would rather make human friends than dog friends because he knows people will play ball with him.  Beaux's new family will need to understand that as a working breed, Beaux needs and wants a job to do. He is not a couch potato! A big fenced in yard with plenty of open space to run and often hikes would be just right. Beaux does not want to run alone, he wants to be with his people and/or in his safe place - his crate.   What is my personality like? Beaux is a gorgeous brown and white border collie. He is incredibly friendly to people and thinks they are wonderful. Beaux does have a lot of anxiety in him, anxiety that will temper but not completely alleviate once he is in his new home.  He does have mild separation anxiety because he wants to be with his people as much as possible.  Beaux is so smart, he can actually open doors when the mood strikes him! He enjoys being loved on and running around. He is very mellow in his crate, but Beaux needs space where he can be free to run and enjoy life. He plays fetch and is not aggressive at all when you take the ball back from him. He just wants to be with you. He lets you know when he is ready to rest by nosing the door to go back in. Beaux loves to be outside and loves going on hikes with his caregivers. Big fenced yards give him plenty of space to run off energy. Beaux is medium energy, depending on what is going on around him. Beaux is not food or crate aggressive to people he knows. A new person needs introduced before they can take the bowl out. A new person becomes a BFF in just a few hours. Simply spend some time with him and you will earn his trust.  He is a toy hoarder and he loves anything that squeaks. He also absolutely loves to be groomed and gets so exciting on bath and brush days. He is very clean in his crate! How do I act when I first meet new people? Friendly Other tips and tidbits: Estimated Birthdate: 9/19/2011.  Be prepared for a lot of people to tell you what a stunning, beautiful dog you have.   House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.  If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip.  Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.   To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home.   You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc.  Others here may be a better fit for you.  It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description.  Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a  dog not in our listings yet.  We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR. October 1, 2024, 6:03 pm

Story
Looking for a smart, loyal, hugging, lovable dog - look no further - Archer is your boy. This boy was used for breeding and the building he was kept in caught fire and the breeder had nowhere to keep the dogs so they were signed over to the shelter as owner surrenders - we were fortunate enough to be able to pull Archer out of the shelter and so glad we did because he is amazing. He was born on 2-12-22 - so he is 2 years old - his current weight is 48 pounds. He is so very smart, very loyal, loves other dogs ( we are unsure of cats as his foster does not have cats), great with kids and just an all around good dog - he is crate and housetrained and knows basic commands. He would make an excellent family dog , an excellent hiking partner, he just wants to be loved and he will give you big hugs in return Archer is neutered, current on vaccines, dewormed, has had a bloodwork panel done, negative for heartworms and lymes disease, microchipped and current on his monthly heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $250.00 If you are interested in adopting this amazing boy please go to our website www.boxerbuttsandothermutts.org and fill out one of our adoption applications - an inquiry through here is not our adoption application. We do require an application to be filled out before we will set up a meet and greet - we do require a home visit and vet references as well. We do no have a facility - all of our dogs are fostered in private foster homes So looking for a special boy that will bring you many years of happiness - go fill out the application - you won't be sorry - because Archer is amazing
