Story
Lana is a very sweet girl who came from Toccoa - known as the Toccoa 13. She is still very nervous in new situations but is crate trained and mostly potty trained - needs to be let out into fenced-in yard and she does a pretty good job of asking to go out. Terrified of leash and harness so not a walker. She’s very content to hang out on the couch but is also game to play with my pups. She loves to play with her foster siblings and stays out of mischief most of the time. She is coming up to her foster parents more for pets and love, but still a bit anxious with fast movements.  Lana loves her spot on the couch, running outside -and sometimes digging, and still hangs in her crate for safety. We keep the crate door open and she’s got free reign of the kitchen and we’ve only had occasional accidents. Lana will require a calm home with patience, stability and love. She will get there but needs to do it slowly and on her time table but she is worth the wait. Another canine in her home may be helpful for her to gain confidence with humans. Lana is spayed, current on vaccines, micro-chipped and dewormed. ADOPT LANA!!!! www.LuckyPupRescueSC.com The adoption fee is $250.00 and we require a vet check and home visit. May 24, 2023, 9:16 am

Story
Velma is a very sweet, very energetic girl. She loves to play with both big and small dogs and is very gentle with our small dog. She is motivated by both treats and praise. She finished 8 weeks of basic dog training and has basic commands down. She currently is an outside dog with her friend Skye. We have a small homestead and we were hoping she would enjoy being a working dog but we do not have enough livestock to keep her busy and happy. She is also scared of thunder and loud noises and would be happier inside where she feels safe. She loves to herd our little dog and to run around our chicken run helping getting them in at night. She is a fun loving dog that would do great with an active family. Needs to have a contained yard. All shots are up to date and heartworm/flea medication is current.

Story
As much as it breaks our hearts to do this, we are looking for a new home for our Border Collie, Daisy. She is 5 years old and about 35 lbs. Daisy is high energy, very smart, SUPER sweet and affectionate, and doesn’t know a stranger. She is very attentive and has been our little shadow since she was 6 weeks old. She absolutely loves to be outside and could play fetch for hours on end if we had the time. She is also a great trail running dog! I never would have anticipated rehoming a pet, but now with having two toddlers and our busy work schedules, we are just not able to devote the time to her that she deserves. We would love for her to go to a farm, loving home with ample yard space for her to play, or someone who would like to bring her out and about regularly.

Story
Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home.  Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR.  We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone.  Our job is to find those someone's.  Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog.  They come to us because they want to give a dog a home.  We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture.  While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face.  Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home.  We want to create furever families.  Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today.  We'll update as more information is known.  Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days?  If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application.  You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side.  You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.  Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes?  Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email.  We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team   Date into Rescue: See below. Reason for being in rescue: Beaux originally came to CPR in 2015 as an owner surrender. He was adopted by a loving family. Unfortunately, Beaux became aggressive toward a small dog in the home and he was returned to CPR in June 2018. Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? None noted Weight: Est 48 lbs (he's a little chunky) Height: Est 24" at the shoulder Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $200 Fence needed? Yes What kind of home would be best for me? Beaux would prefer a home with experienced owners of his breed and temperament. Currently, he is living with several other same size and bigger dogs as he doesn't like little dogs that represent prey. Beaux prefers proper dog on dog introductions to help him get used to his new friends. He would rather make human friends than dog friends because he knows people will play ball with him.  Beaux's new family will need to understand that as a working breed, Beaux needs and wants a job to do. He is not a couch potato! A big fenced in yard with plenty of open space to run and often hikes would be just right. Beaux does not want to run alone, he wants to be with his people and/or in his safe place - his crate.   What is my personality like? Beaux is a gorgeous brown and white border collie. He is incredibly friendly to people and thinks they are wonderful. Beaux does have a lot of anxiety in him, anxiety that will temper but not completely alleviate once he is in his new home.  He does have mild separation anxiety because he wants to be with his people as much as possible.  Beaux is so smart, he can actually open doors when the mood strikes him! He enjoys being loved on and running around. He is very mellow in his crate, but Beaux needs space where he can be free to run and enjoy life. He plays fetch and is not aggressive at all when you take the ball back from him. He just wants to be with you. He lets you know when he is ready to rest by nosing the door to go back in. Beaux loves to be outside and loves going on hikes with his caregivers. Big fenced yards give him plenty of space to run off energy. Beaux is medium energy, depending on what is going on around him. Beaux is not food or crate aggressive to people he knows. A new person needs introduced before they can take the bowl out. A new person becomes a BFF in just a few hours. Simply spend some time with him and you will earn his trust.  He is a toy hoarder and he loves anything that squeaks. He also absolutely loves to be groomed and gets so exciting on bath and brush days. He is very clean in his crate! How do I act when I first meet new people? Friendly Other tips and tidbits: Estimated Birthdate: 9/19/2011.  Be prepared for a lot of people to tell you what a stunning, beautiful dog you have.   House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.  If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip.  Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.   To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home.   You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc.  Others here may be a better fit for you.  It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description.  Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a  dog not in our listings yet.  We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR. May 28, 2023, 1:41 pm

Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Haley, a loyal, sweet, and smart nine-month-old pup who is looking for her forever home. Haley is a playful girl who needs to be around medium to large dogs, or as an only dog. While she loves to play, she's also calm and loves to snuggle as long as she's had her exercise. Haley has been through level one obedience training and is house trained. She's up-to-date on all her shots, has been on heartworm and flea medication, and is about 45 pounds. She's met and loved younger children but would do best with children 12 and older. Haley has learned commands such as sit, down, heel, off, no, place, stay, drop it, come, and wait at the door. She still needs reinforcement with these commands, so an experienced dog parent would be ideal for her. In addition to being well-behaved indoors, Haley loves to run with her teen human companion and play fetch. She's crate, house-trained, and can come in and out of a dog door. It breaks my heart to give her up, but I know she'll thrive in the right
