He came to our rescue after enduring serious abuse that left him without a lower jaw. Because of that, his tongue is always out, but don’t let his appearance fool you: DANDY feels great, lives life to the fullest, and is all about fun. This guy is social, energetic, and dog-friendly. He thrives in large playgroups and loves a good yard game—especially fetch and keep-away with his favorite pals, YAM and BLU. With people, DANDY is pure sweetness. He seeks affection, leans into love, and truly enjoys being close to his humans. DANDY does have one simple daily need: his kibble should be slightly softened so he can eat comfortably. Other than that, he’s a joyful, active dog who’s ready to be someone’s best friend. Porter is a handsome fella who may have some border collie in his bloodline. It was reported to us by a previous owner that he had separation anxiety when left alone in a house. He has done well with some dogs at the sanctuary, but not all. We would not recommend that he live with a cat. He has been friendly to every person he meets and has a relaxed personality.
