Story
Annie is a super playful, very vocal, very cuddly baby with a personality as big and bright as her name. She loves to play with her brother and happily keeps up with the dogs in her foster home, too. Annie is fearless, curious, and always ready to explore anything she can reach. She’s also a full-on lick monster and will gladly cover you in kisses if given the chance. Spunky, silly, and full of life, Annie lives up to her musical namesake in every way. She would thrive in a home that loves an energetic, affectionate pup who brings constant entertainment and endless snuggles. Currently in a foster home in Chattanooga, TN, and available for transport to most locations within the continental United States. Please note: We are unable to adopt to residents of Massachusetts at this time. To apply, complete our official adoption application at yourlocalfurmama.com/adoption-application. Story
Meet Nala! This sweet girl is being fostered in east TN. She is not available out of state. She is sweet, funny, lovable, goofy and spunky. She does need a special home though because she is also fear reactive with meeting new people. She is nippy yet takes the correction when she is told not to do something. She has a lot of herding instinct in her and she is literally trying to figure you out and make sure you are not a threat. She is excellent with her people and only reacts this way with new people. She needs a bit of time to trust you before you can pet her. She will take treats but if you try to per her too soon she will let you know she is not ready for that yet. She took about 30 minutes to be ok with us. We gave a few treats and one of us was able to scratch her chin but that was the extent and we had pushed too far she was still to nervous she barked and snipped but never bit or broke skin. 20 minutes later she came to me and (Amy) and put her paw on my thigh and climbed up to me and begged for love. She was craving being loved so much she couldn’t get enough of it. It was a very emotional moment for me because I thought oh boy another one that will never be able to overcome their fear of new people, yet here she was literally melting in my arms and giving kisses and begging for affection. She was in foster care for a year with another rescue and she nipped at a visitor of the foster parents. The rescue placed her in training with a local trainer. She was literally wasting away a whole year of her life with this trainer. The other rescue did not know this was the case. She spent the majority of that year in a crate. That trainer did her no good at all, the methods she used to attempt to have Nala meet new people made Nala even more fearful than she already was. She was forced into muzzle (hey muzzles are great tools if you know how to use them correctly) and forced by leash to be handed over to other trainers whom she did not know nor was given the time to get to know and she reacted out of fear. She tried to bite them and it was quite traumatic for her to endure. She needed to be given time on a leash to see these people at a distance and learn what they were about before meeting them hands on. Here we allow her to meet new people but these people are not allowed to touch her unless we tell them it’s ok and it’s ok when Nala asks for it that is when she trusts that person. Once she trusts she is golden. Is it the best behavior for a dog to have,? absolutely not but it is her and we have done the best we can for her. She is not aggressive and per the other trainer said she should be euthanized she was unadoptable. Well here we are having met her and given her time she is a big baby and she also has met our friends and family on occasion and with proper guidance she is doing amazing. She is an excellent protective companion and very intelligent. She needs an experienced owner who can guide her when meeting new people. She will always have a home with us if she never finds that perfect home. She is truly just too amazing and loving to euthanize. She is just misunderstood and that year was more of a setback than a help to her. She is house trained. Current on vaccines, chipped, spayed and heartworm negative. She is well behaved in the home and is not destructive. She walks well on a leash and knows a few basic commands. She is as devoted and loyal as they come. If you give her the chance you will be rewarded significantly by her acceptance and love. She is worth it, her life is worth it! Apply at petpath.org

Rubix is such a sweet pup. He loves attention, loves his playtime with his buddy and is "over the moon cute". Well mannered, already house trained and would be a perfect addition to a loving family. Rubix would be a great partner for hikes, camping and just "hanging out". A volunteer favorite, we are all shocked he hasn't found his forever, loving home. A home with a fenced yard would be great for this active fun pup.To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Story
🌸 Meet Annabelle – Sweet, Calm, and So Ready for Love 🌸 Annabelle is a fully vetted 3-year-old Heeler/Pitbull mix who currently weighs about 67 lbs — and she’s loved food a little extra since getting spayed, so she’s carrying a bit of happy weight right now. 🍗❤️ She’s a very calm, gentle girl who isn’t overly active, but she’d do great with a family willing to take her on daily walks to help her get back in shape and enjoy some fresh air. 🐾 Annabelle came into rescue in February 2025 in rough shape, with some hair loss from flea allergies and scars around her face. With time, care, and love, she’s looking so much better — and her true beauty is shining through. ✨ She’s sweet and easygoing, playful with other dogs but also perfectly content to just relax. Whether she’s hanging out with a canine buddy or soaking up attention as the only dog, Annabelle is happy as long as she has people who love her. 💕 She gets along wonderfully with children. (We’re not sure about cats just yet.) One of her favorite things is curling up on a soft couch next to her family — she’s not high-energy or high-maintenance, just a snuggly companion who wants to be near her people. 🛋️ The only thing that rattles her a little are thunderstorms. During storms, she may need some calming support like CBD or, even better, the comfort of her human nearby to remind her she’s safe. 📍 Located in Cleveland, TN 🚗 Transport available to other states 💰 Adoption fee: $150 Annabelle has been through a lot, but she’s blossomed into the sweetest soul who’s so ready to start her forever chapter. Could you be the one to give this beautiful girl the cozy, loving home she deserves? 💞

Story
Miss Priss (a.k.a. Prissy Pants, Heartbreaker Extraordinaire) 💋🐾 Miss Priss is about 2 years old and truly something else. Her sister Missy found her forever home a few months ago, and now it’s Prissy’s turn to shine. When she was younger, she had a bit of a bossy streak — but with age came wisdom, sweetness, and a whole lot of irresistible charm. She may be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she decides you’re her person… game over. This girl LOVES hard. She’s incredibly affectionate, walks beautifully on a leash, and gets along great with other dogs — boys, girls, you name it. Now let’s address the elephant in the room… Miss Priss is the biggest flirt in rescue right now. She knows exactly how to get wined and dined by the fellas, and she’s not even subtle about it. Ask her if she’s flirting with a new man and she’ll flash the biggest, proudest smile you’ve ever seen. Current “main man” is Teddy, but she’s also been spotted batting her eyelashes at Bon Jovi and Larry. (Shhh… what happens in rescue stays in rescue. 🤫) Prissy is strictly a dog-and-human kind of gal — no small animals or farm critters for her. But when it comes to people and canine friends, she’s pure love wrapped in a sweet, adorable package. We truly cannot believe she’s still waiting for her forever home. She is gentle, loving, hilarious, and just an all-around joy to be around. 📍 Located in Cleveland, TN 🚗 Transport available to other states 💲 Adoption fee: $150 If you’re looking for a sweet girl with personality, charm, and just a tiny bit of sass — Miss Priss is your girl. 💕
