Story
Martin is a lone puppy after coming to us with 3 other siblings. They were found abandoned in the woods, no mom, food or family to speak of. Two of his siblings were adopted immedicably, then his remaining litter mate broke his leg in a freak accident leaving Martin. We found a foster home and he is now thriving no longer the only puppy taking on the world.

Story
Dexter was found abandoned on the side of the road in February this year. We believe he was about a month old at the time. We brought him home and tried our best but with our busy schedules and all of our other pets it’s just not been possible for us to give him the love and attention he deserves. He’s great with kids and other animals. He’s super playful and loves to run and herd. He also will cuddle up and love on you as well. He hasn’t had any vaccinations at this point. I believe he is a border collie mix of some sort but he’s still very small for now. We are just hoping that someone else can give him a better life that we are able to.

Story
Rubix is such a sweet pup. He loves attention, loves his playtime with his buddy and is "over the moon cute". Well mannered, he is already house trained and would be a perfect addition to a loving family. Rubix would be a great partner for hikes, camping and just "hanging out". A volunteer favorite, we are all shocked he hasn't found his forever, loving home. A home with a fenced yard would be great for this active fun pup.To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Story
Meet Leo, a vibrant border collie mix who weighs just a little under 70lbs. At 7 years young, Leo is still bursting with energy and enthusiasm. He thrives in the company of big dogs, and his best friend Cubby shares his love for exploring our scenic pond area. Leo has mastered the art of sitting, lying, and spinning, showcasing his intelligence and trainability. As he requires a fenced-in yard to prevent his curious nature from getting the better of him, a secure outdoor space is a must. Unfortunately, Leo isn't suited for households with small dogs or cats. Are you ready to welcome Leo into your life and share in his joy? He has been with us for over 2 years, and we can't wait to find him his forever home.To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Story
Meet Leia! Leia is a 40-pound bundle of sweetness just waiting to steal your heart! Lovable and affectionate, she absolutely adores hugs, kisses, belly rubs, and being close to her people. Whether you're hanging out on the couch or playing outside in the yard, Leia just wants to be part of the family and involved in all the action. She’s a quick learner who is already potty and kennel trained, making her an easy addition to any home. Leia has a playful side and loves a good game of fetch to burn off some energy. After a fun play session, she’s more than happy to snuggle up and soak in all the love and attention you have to give. While she may be a little shy when meeting new people or pups, once she warms up, she becomes a fantastic playmate for other dogs and does well with older kids too. Leia lives in a home with cats and does well with them. Leia prefers to eat her meals solo, but once she’s finished, she’s ready to jump right back into playtime or cuddle mode! She’s the perfect mix of cuddly, playful, and loyal, and she’s more than ready to find a forever family to call her own. Leia would thrive in a home where she can be included in activities, get plenty of belly rubs, and enjoy daily games of fetch. If you’re looking for a gentle, fun-loving, and devoted companion, Leia might just be your perfect match! To apply directly for Leia click the "Apply for Adoption" button. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-611 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. Story
Remy is a super sweet boy I took in from a friend that wasn't taking car of him. He was adopted from the humane society by my friend 18 months before I received him in May 2024. I talked her into surrendering him after I saw his condition while helping her move. He was unsocialized overweight and severely matted. As far as I know Remy is an Australian Shepherd mix that is between ages 5 and 7 years. He is about 68 lb very active but calms down well! He is up to date on all his shots neutered and microchipped. He will smother you with kisses and handshakes but is definitely fearful of some men. I was told he was abused in his past home. Remy is a very anxious boy and it took him several months to become comfortable in our home. He has adjusted well but unfortunately our female Husky has been showing signs of aggression towards him all of a sudden.
