We adopted Val from the Walker County Animal shelter in February 2026. The vet (and shelter) estimated her age to be just over 1yr or so. She is a very sweet dog and gets along well with our 9yr old pit bull/black lab mix. She has a very sweet personality overall, but we have a cattle farm and she goes crazy trying to get after the cows. She has stampeded the cows nearly through the fence more times than I can count, so weonly take her out on a leash or put her on a 25ft runner we putin the front yard so she can get some outside time, but she loves to run and play and we just can't afford to let her do that since she gets after the cows so bad. It's becoming a hazard for her as well since she keeps getting cut up on the barbwire fences. We just want someone who willlove her to get her!

This boy knows his basic commands…come, sit, shake, high five and stay/wait. Gunner is good on leash and enjoys walks and hikes. He does have selective hearing when he is busy. He enjoys playing ball and frisbee, is great in a vehicle and loves a pup cup!! Gunner is selective about his friends and would do well with a chill older female. Gunner also believes he would be happy just hanging with his humans (10 years and up) with all the attention for himself. (No small animals or young children.
