Meet Leo, a vibrant border collie mix who weighs just a little under 70lbs. At 8 1/2 years young, Leo is still bursting with energy and enthusiasm. He thrives in the company of big dogs, and his best friend Cubby shares his love for exploring our scenic pond area. Leo has mastered the art of sitting, lying, and spinning, showcasing his intelligence and trainability. As he requires a fenced-in yard to prevent his curious nature from getting the better of him, a secure outdoor space is a must. Unfortunately, Leo needs a home with no small dogs or cats. Are you ready to welcome Leo into your life and share in his joy? He has been with us for over 2 years, and we can't wait to find him his forever home.To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Story
We adopted Val from the Walker County Animal shelter in February 2026. The vet (and shelter) estimated her age to be just over 1yr or so. She is a very sweet dog and gets along well with our 9yr old pit bull/black lab mix. She has a very sweet personality overall, but we have a cattle farm and she goes crazy trying to get after the cows. She has stampeded the cows nearly through the fence more times than I can count, so weonly take her out on a leash or put her on a 25ft runner we putin the front yard so she can get some outside time, but she loves to run and play and we just can't afford to let her do that since she gets after the cows so bad. It's becoming a hazard for her as well since she keeps getting cut up on the barbwire fences. We just want someone who willlove her to get her!

Story
Meet Wren, a resilient and loving girl who has been on quite a journey. She came to us as a stray and was adopted for 3 years, only to be brought back for a short time before being adopted again. After 8 months, I received a heartbreaking text: “We need to bring Wren back, we are moving and the rental in between moving won’t allow pets”. I was absolutely devastated, but I know Wren's story is far from over. This incredibly sweet girl will capture your heart with her affectionate nature, showering you with hugs and kisses. She's great on leash, housebroken, loves to play fetch, and gets along with dogs. She even enjoys car rides! Let's help Wren find her forever home where she'll be cherished and loved. 💗🐶. Story
Ladies and Gentleman start your engines" Indie is here! This is one fun, active and loving dog! First thing that comes to mind when I think of Indie, is The Indianapolis 500. She is fast, has lots of fun power and is loyal to her sponsor/family. Indie just came back to us through no fault of her own. Sadly, her parents have been juggling work schedules and could not make it work. Indie has a wonderful temperament, a loyal, SMART and sweet blend of Cattle Dog and Australian Shephard. She's learned several commands and tricks. She would be ideal for an active, attentive family with a fenced yard. (Only reviewing applications with fenced yards) Indie can be "dog selective" so bring your dog.. Did I mention she's an Internet sensation in Dalton? Many have seen her cruising around downtown in the infamous Red Convertible and eating at local eateries. This gal fits in everywhere and loves having a side kick.Come meet our "Winner"; she will steal your heart! To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. At 10 years old, Babygirl and Daisy have lost the only home they’ve ever known. Their owner loved them dearly but could no longer care for them due to health issues, leaving these sweet girls searching for a new beginning. They have spent their entire lives together and have never been apart. Through every cuddle, car ride, nap, and adventure, they have always had each other. After all they’ve been through, we would love nothing more than to see them stay together.Don’t let their age fool you—these girls still have so much love to give! They are sweet, affectionate, love to play, enjoy car rides, are wonderful with kids and other dogs, and are completely housebroken.Babygirl and Daisy aren’t asking for much—just a soft bed, a loving family, and the chance to spend their golden years together. They have already experienced heartbreak; now they deserve a happy ending.Could you be the family that gives these deserving girls the love and security they need? ❤️🐾To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved.
