Poor Lucia can make a great bond with some people. However, she can be aggressive at times. She is so loving with the ones she likes. However, to many people she is aggressive. She likes to play and take walks. With those she bonds with she is super affectionate. She loves to lick and curl up with you. She has been the longest dog we have had at our shelter. She has been with us over 4-years.

Story
Meet Katie — a 6-month-old possible Border Collie mix with puppy energy, a sweet soul, and a playful personality that keeps life fun. At around 30 pounds, she’s the perfect size for adventures, couch cuddles, and supervising the household full-time. Katie was found tied to a tree in a busy area, but despite her rough start, she’s remained incredibly loving and gentle. She can be a little timid when meeting new people, but once she knows she’s safe, she turns into a total affection addict who wants nonstop pets and attention. She loves chew toys, gets along great with other dogs and cats, and has fully embraced her self-appointed role of “cat herding specialist.” Katie is also doing wonderfully with crate training and is already showing how smart and eager to learn she is. Katie is looking for a patient, loving family who will continue helping her build confidence and give her the happy ending she deserves. In return, she’ll provide endless laughs, loyal companionship, and plenty of puppy entertainment.

Story
Sirius' Story Meet Sirius. If you're looking for a dog who is already well on his way to being the perfect family companion, Sirius may be your guy. Since moving into his foster home in January 2026, Sirius has been thriving. He's fully housetrained and has proven himself to be an easygoing, adaptable dog who fits seamlessly into daily life. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and children, making him a fantastic candidate for a variety of homes. But what really makes Sirius special is his heart. Sirius is the kind of dog who doesn't ask for much. A kind word, a gentle "good boy," a scratch behind the ears, or simply being included in whatever you're doing is enough to make his tail wag. He has a calm, loving nature and a sweet personality that makes him easy to love and even easier to live with. Whether he's relaxing with the family, hanging out with his canine friends, or simply soaking up attention from his people, Sirius approaches life with a quiet happiness that's impossible not to admire. Sirius has spent months proving what a wonderful companion he can be. Now he's ready for a forever family to see what his foster family already knowsthat he's truly one of those special dogs who makes life a little better just by being part of it. Could Sirius be the missing piece your family has been looking for? Sirius is neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. His adopter may also take advantage of a FREE four-week training program through Sublime K9 in Jefferson City, covering leash skills, basic commands, and owner education. Noah's Arc is volunteer-run, and meet-and-greets are scheduled by appointment only.

Story
Sienna's Story Meet Sienna. Sienna is the kind of dog who won't be the first to run up and demand attentionbut give her a little time, and she'll show you just how special she is. This beautiful girl has a gentle, sensitive soul and prefers to take her time getting comfortable in new situations. Once she feels safe, her sweet personality shines through. Sienna forms deep bonds with the people she trusts and loves being close to her favorite humans. Because she can be overwhelmed by busy environments, Sienna would do best in a calm home with adults, empty nesters, or a family with older children (9+ years old). She thrives with patience, consistency, and people who understand that confidence grows at different speeds for different dogs. One thing we know for sure is that Sienna loves other dogs. Having a canine companion helps her feel secure and brings out her playful side. She would likely enjoy a home with another friendly, well-adjusted dog who can help show her the ropes and remind her that the world isn't such a scary place. Watching Sienna gain confidence has been one of the greatest joys for our volunteers. The dog who starts out shy soon reveals a loving, loyal companion who simply wants to feel safe and loved. To help set Sienna up for success, her adopter may take advantage of a basic four-week training program through Sublime K9 in Jefferson City at no cost. The program covers leash skills, basic commands, and strengthening the bond between dog and owner. Sienna isn't looking for a perfect familyshe's looking for a patient one. Someone willing to give her the time she needs to settle in and discover that she's finally home. Could that be you?

Story
Hi! I'm very playful, affectionate, energetic and athletic! I'd love to have a big yard and a person who has time to play with me. I know some basic obedience commands and I love to learn new skills. I like other dogs very much too. I was tested with cats but one hissed at me and after that I was scared to even look at her. Tennis balls and food are my favorite ❤️
