Story
Meet Rocky! He is a 6 month old precious boy that came into rescue at just 1 week old. His entire litter has been adopted and he was in a foster to adopt home when we discovered he needed surgery to correct an injury he had when we got him at just 1 week old. He has now had that surgery and is 100% healed but his original home realized they were not ready or able to care for a dog after going through his medical process. So now this big goofball is almost grown up and needs his true FURever home! He is 90% potty trained, super playful, loves kids and dogs (hasn't been around cats) and will do well in almost any environment. He is still a puppy so has puppy energy. If you are interested in meeting Rocky please apply at our website forrescue.net. Rocky is fostered in the Huntsville, AL area.

Story
Hi, I'm Pedro P! I'm suave and debonair and a bit shy and retiring too. I am about 3 years old and a red merle aussiex poodle mix (or so we think). I am a very sweet but shy guy. I love people and pets but it takes me a little while to trust new people because I don't think I was well treated in my previous life. That's OK, I'm moving on and up and just need some sweet understanding people in my new life. I am a super easy keeper - fully house trained, well mannered in the house and I love to be petted. I love going for walks and I just follow right along with you and don't misbehave. I do need a dog friend in my life, preferably female. I get along well with boy dogs, I just seem to bond better with girl dogs, especially playful ones. But if you have a playful boy dog I might like that too. I don't like being alone and will need a friend to help me with that. I am working on crate training and doing things for treats and I am loving that. I do have penchant for things on the floor (like shoes and weird dropped things) so my foster mom and foster buddies have been teaching me about dog toys and that seems to be going well. Because he is a shy guy Pedro isn't recommended for homes with small children or super busy noisy homes (they will scare him). He likes all people if not scared and does fine with cats and dogs. He should be fine with older kids who can understand he's scared. He doesn't handle change well so will need a lot of understanding for the first month or so, but he's settling into his foster home and routine given time to decompress. He's fully vetted and looked for a safe place to land and live out a stress free life.

Story
Bach really needs a Forevrer home and a patient one at that. The longer he's in the rescue the lower his confidence becomes. I am completely tied down with all the animals on my plate finding one on one time is near impossible currently. Bach is around 9 months old and a Australian shepherd/heeler mix around 28lbs. He is very apprehensive of new people and the last/only meet and greet he had, he wouldn't come near me or the adopter and just paced and shook 😭 the adopter ended up adopting Roscoe instead. Bach isn't a bad dog in fact he loves me and seeks pets and play from me and my sister, when it's only us around, but throw a stranger in the mix and he's scared, barking and won't come near you even for the treats he's so motivated over 😔 Bach really needs a patient home who can love him through this. Bachs good with other dogs his size and bigger, and he's ignored the cats here, but he has tried to herd some of the smaller dogs and they're not at all a fan on that so he needs a home with no dogs smaller then him. While he has never bitten me or my sister, my mom has said he's nipped her twice on the knee while letting him outside . He really needs a family familiar with these herding types and willing to give him alot of adjustment time. Hes going to be scared of anyone and any new area for a while. Even when he first came to our rescue months back with his brother, the first few weeks they were shut down and they were much younger pups at this time. Were not sure if they're were abused as young pups or if they simply were unsocilaized for the start. Bach will require a home with a fenced in yard and he will need a home with no kids. His adoption fee is waived to a perfect home and we are open to rescue transfers or a foster /trainer who can help us with him too. Bach is being failed in our home and it is not fair to him. Location: Cosby Tennessee 📌

Story
Fidget was born in July ‘24 and came to foster care after her teenage buyers realized they couldnt affird a puppy. fidget arrived the day after Freya, a 7 month old anatolian shepherd who Had been hit by a car and had surgery to repair her leg. Fidget Didn’t understand why Freya did not run around and instead of moving along and finding another foster dog to play with, she decided to lay on the ground and play with Freya at the level that she could while she healed. An instant bond formed, and the two have been completely inseparable ever since. Freya is completely healed now And the two of them run around the yard and enjoy a lot of wrestling and playing fetch. Their third buddy is a permanent German Shepherd here at the foster home, also a youngster who loves to play with them. Freya & Fidget are both potty trained and have very good house manners. Despite being young puppies of typical high energy breeds, they are very low-key easy-going puppies that are amazingly easy to manage as a duo. They entertain each other and enjoy your petting and attention, but are not “needy”. They get along great with all of the others in the foster home, which includes dogs of all sizes and ages and breeds. They come when called, and they sleep together and play together and are not happy when you take one away without the other. This would be an exceptional duo to adopt, one that will leave your life full of great stories about your awesome dogs. As a foster mom for over 10 years, these two are extremely amazing dogs and their happiness in life is my goal which is why they need to be adopted together. They are kid friendly, and very gentle. Fenced yard is required. You will never regret taking these two young dogs on… They will change your perspective in life in a very positive way. Email irondawgs13@gmail.com for adoption application
