This sweet girl was neglected and I couldn't just leave her. She was starved when I took her in but has put weight on and is doing terrific! I haven't had her long but from the time she has spent with me she is the sweetest girl. She LOVES belly rubs and wants to be near you constantly. I wish I could keep her but sadly she does not get along well with my female aussie ( my aussie does not like other female dogs at all) I have to keep them separated and it's just become too much. As far as I know she has had a rabies vaccination but not 100% positive. She just needs a really loving home that is willing to put up with a border collies energy!

Meet Sirius! Sirius has been waiting a long time for his forever home. He is one of the original S litter puppies who came to Noah’s Arc shortly after being born in January 2025. Their mom is a Border Collie, and while we don’t know who dad was, we do know these puppies inherited plenty of intelligence, personality, and heart. What started as a litter of eight is now down to just three, with Sirius being one of them. Sirius is incredibly smart, affectionate, and loving. He truly thrives on human connection and has so much to offer the person willing to give him a little time to settle in and build confidence. He can be timid when faced with something new, but he has shown us again and again that with patience and encouragement, he can overcome those little fears. Sirius spent several months in a foster home, originally as a temporary placement during bad weather, but he did so well that he stayed for an extended period. He lived with two cats and a female German Shepherd who definitely ruled the roost! Sirius was comfortable sharing his home with both the cats and a confident, dominant dog. He also made wonderful progress with house training. He learned to use the fenced backyard reliably and settled into a home routine beautifully. When Sirius first went into foster, even stairs could be intimidating. But with time and encouragement, he learned that they weren't so scary after all. His foster stay gave us a glimpse of the dog we know is in there — a sweet, loving boy who simply needs someone willing to let him build confidence at his own pace. Sirius has been back at Noah’s Arc this summer, and we know he may need a little time to ramp back up. But we will continue working with him, and we will never give up on finding the right match for him. Sirius comes with four sponsored training classes at Sublime K9, paid for by Noah’s Arc, so his new family can continue building his confidence and setting him up for success. River is such a unique dog. We fully believe he is autistic. His social behavior and many quirks definitely leads to that. His vet provided him Prozac to help maintain his anxiety. He has trouble connecting to men. My husband and son have tried since we got him at 4 months old. We do not know his story before us. But something happened with a man. Every single day my husband would sit on the floor to show him he isn't so big and give him treats. He eventually would come to him easier but if something happened to make noise around him he would lose all progress. He has not shown aggression. Just anxiety and fear of SOOO many things. He has attached to me and my daughters very easily. He DOES love playing catch with us, including the men. But after almost 2 years, he still doesn't not relax with them like he does the women. He is loyal, loving, quirky. Protective. House trained, great with cats, ducks, other dogs. He has only been around kids ages 12 and up.
